  1. Past hour
  2. Didn't expect it to be much and, of course, it wasn't in the grand scheme of things.
  3. I'd be more than happy with Cooper alone but I'm a fan of Ashton Rowden and would love it if somehow they both ended up in the class
  4. Definitely. But it was a main area of focus this go round. Let me think on this. The PG rankings were posted above, but I'm not a huge believer in their rankings for one main reason... you go to their events, you get ranked. It's not like they are @Gerry Hamilton going around and seeing kids, watching film, etc. Never thought about that, but that's actually a good idea. I'm not sure tbh.
  5. Forgot to mention... @marathon is correct on the transfer part. There will be a couple from that group. I will say losing Freeman was a big deal. That's the one that stung the most, imo, out of all the portal players. If there was one kid they lost that they didn't want to, it was him.
  6. Cunningham and Fien. Again, it was a long shot (at best) for either one of them, but Texas definitely tried. No doubt about it.
  7. Hold onto him, and go find the under recruited 3* RB from Texas who will be a draft pick. There is at least one literally every year. Don't expect Wisner or Baxter back next year, and who knows on Gibson if he gets passed by Clark and Simon.
  8. QE's looked just like he has for the last 3 years at Texas... I will eat crow if he goes off and looks legit.
  9. Blake, who were those two they lost out on? Thanks
  10. Like I said, don't even look at or care about anything they say, since knocking down Banks to a 4* for volunteering to play RT in one of those All American games, a position he'd never played & never will.
  11. What is the Tx class equivalent please? 5a?
  12. Today
  13. Looks like Willis McGahee to me. Wonder if Miami is selling him on that.
  14. I thought I saw a tweet from his dad that he had some turn of the ankle but still was able to have that crazy speed burst run. Kid is special.
  15. Not at all, but I don't like going into Georgia with 2 losses in a playoff eliminaion game that early in season. No way Kirby loses that game in that situauion to knock us out of playoffs... Could be a diaster 2nd half of season with nothing left to play for.
  16. Yeah, definitely only pretty good. 🤦‍♂️
  17. hopefully he sues the hell out of the other party...
  18. Miami thinks they have a real uphill battle. I expect a battle, as it should be!
  19. Clips from the game ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1nVRvFLzqE And the whole game ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=soPVVqLrpaI
  20. I wanted to answer these three together, as they all sorta tie in. I don't see an impact guy next year, at least not offensively. I would be surprised if there is an A-Rod level contributor next season from one of these freshmen. That's not to say that they're not talented, because they are. This is a solid class for sure. It's just that Texas is much deeper than they were a season ago, along with some portal players who have an opportunity to shine. As far as pitching goes, that's so tough. NO ONE, not even the coaches, knew what they had in Volantis. It's sort of an unfair comparison. I can promise you that the staff didn't even think he'd be what he ended up being before he began or even through the early part of the season. If I had to pick a pitcher, I would say Cozart is definitely the safe pick. He's the most ready. Will he be Volantis 2.0? I seriously doubt it. I'm not even sure Cozart is the most talented freshman pitcher on the roster, but again, he's the most ready out of the bunch to throw in a game. It's also important that a couple of these guys may carve out a role earlier than others, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're the most talented or the best of the group. Cozart fits that to a T, imo. And that's not a knock on him by any means.... He's a high floor guy with a ton of talent.
  21. Anyone who watched Tony Dorsett play might make an argument for him. Though no one would want to agree O.J. Simpson was awesome at USC. His run against UCLA in 1967 during the fourth quarter was one of the best plays I have ever seen.
