With all the high number of international players looking to come to college hoops to cash in on NIL contracts better than their pro deals, the NCAA is now ruling eligibility by what would be a NCAA clock vs. having been paid to play professional sports. College athletics is now pro sports due to NIL, so no stopping it in the future IMO.

This where we are headed in college sports, currently. At least in basketball. See if any baseball minor leaguers with eligibility on their NCAA clock try and make the move to college for NIL cash. Thierry Darlan eligible this season for Santa Clara. Averaged 11 points and six rebounds in the G-league. Santa Clara now has a 18-20 and 10-11 guy in college this season. https://frontofficesports.com/santa-clara-thierry-darlan-g-league/ Louisville signed G-league PG London Johnson He played 30 games in the G-league, a two year contract worth 1.1 million https://www.si.com/college/louisville/football/nba-g-league-guard-commits

Spurrier is quite the genius he gets to point fingers and not look in the mirror.

I was young then but loved James Street. Also a great pitcher for Texas. -
College coaching carousel 2025: It's going to be wild

Has Kiffin won a championship anywhere he has coached. Kiffin is overrated. -
Is KJ Lacey James Street in this situation? Don’t sleep on Arch he’s tough and smart. I truly believe this will make him the best version of himself and grow into the player we know he can be. I’m inclined to believe this is more similar to Vince Young. Remember he couldn’t throw and we struggled to develop offensively in 2003 and 2004 early, but after almost losing at Kansas we didn’t lose another game when he was the starter. Realistically, it’ll continue to be a roller coaster this year since our schedule is WAY tougher than Vince’s was in 2004, but fear not Arch is not a bust. He’s a young player learning his way as a starter and as a leader.
