  1. Past hour
  2. If Day & Ohio State throw caution to the wind like the playoff run and get out to a fast start it could be a long day for Texas. During the regular season last year the Buckeyes started slow and usually turned it up in the 3rd quarter. Now we have a new OC, but I think Day most likely personally scripted the first 15 plays for Saturday and will be calling the majority of this game with Hartline telling him what coverages he is seeing from up in the Box.
  3. As I watch the Michigan/Ohio State game I'm so glad we got Baxter and Clark back. I can't wait until we get in short yardage and goal to go situations where we aren't running zone schemes.
  4. That’s what I heard as well. The halftime adjustment answer tells me that the 3rd quarter is going to be crucial for us. We need our 3rd quarter woes completely solved.
  5. ESPN is all over the engagement. I’m sure that’s where Joe z is spending his time. 🤣
  6. Shot in the dark here, I’m working in Vancouver and so far struggling to find somewhere that will be open at 9:00a local and will be showing the game. Any other longhorns out there with ideas or experience in the Vancouver area?
  7. Real-time look at Gerry and Joe Z
  8. As they should be. OSU knows we are going to get their best shot. Looking forward to a heckuva a ball game.
  9. Texas is already motivated, Ohio State is the last team to beat them. Nothing any player or coach says or doesn't is going to motivate them more or tame their motivation.
  10. My take was Day says almost the same thing every press conference and he was not going to put anything out there to motivate Texas. Quiet confidence in the process and prep is what it is.
  11. Yup safe area and not a bad walk. The only issues any opposing fan would have if OSU loses would be a few hours post game in the Bars on High Street that will be filled with drunk students, but it is the other drunks (non students) in the bars that are more likely to act like arses. Overall you should have an enjoyable experience it is just a small few overzealous morons who give our fans a bad name.
  12. Today
  13. I think they would rather celebrate Texas not winning the natty the last 2 years, they hate Texas more then they love themselves, plus we all know that they are 8&4U🤣
  14. @Joe Zuraasked me to post this for him … He wanted to congratulate Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce on their engagement And yes, he’s a Swifty
  15. my take: Dumpster fire….”Sayin going to have find a way to Win”…. Good players this n that “ Ryan Day Reeks no confidence…Sayin gonna be lucky to not be in ER before he gets pulled!
  16. If A&M and Oregon ever meet in the playoffs, Joe Z and Gerry might burn OTF to the ground
  17. Btw, throwing a ball at the feet of your receiver to avoid a sack is not a bad play. Throwing a ball too high is a bad play, I would agree. I'm willing to place a large bet Sayin will make the same kind of mistakes you've pointed out Arch making last season (every QB does), probably this Saturday. What we've seen and like about Arch is that he constantly looks to learn from his mistakes, get better and subsequently avoid them. Above all, that is what you should hope for from Sayin as well.
  18. Ugh. Go celebrate a national championship you didn’t win in 1910 while you’re at it.
  19. Sayin has been QB1 for about a week. It's hard to be the leader you need to be when you just became the guy. As hard as Quinn tried to be the leader, we seen when Arch got in the game guys played more intentionally, the crowd cheered so loud it could have cracked your TV screen. Being the unquestioned leader of the team sounds like coach speak, but it's important. I'm curious as to what happens if Sayin doesn't play well, will there be a split. The most popular guy in the locker room is QB2.
  20. Don’t tell Gerry about this thread he might start shaking and foaming at the mouth
  21. I think you are letting Arch's play vs UTSA and ULM heavily bias your analysis. UTSA was his first extended action and ULM was his first start. From his full body of work, those two games were definitely the ones where he made questionable decisions in the face of pressure. Sarkisian also called an aggressive gameplan and allowed a long leash in those games knowing that an INT or two in either of the games wasn't close to the end of the world. In the remainder of his games, he had far fewer questionable decisions. Even against UGA, which you've criticized, he was composed and competent despite coming in down 20-0. He made two legitimate mistakes (that he reasonably could have been asked to avoid) that I counted in that game: missing an open crosser (35:42), taking a sack rather than throwing away (36:45). That UGA game was easily the most pressure our QBs faced on the year. Jalen Walker and Mykel Williams were Top 15 selections in the draft. tOSU's defense was good last year and I'm sure will be good this year, but y'all didn't have guys like that last year and won't have guys like that this year. Yes, y'all's pass rush was very effective against Quinn "The Statue" Ewers.
  22. Lol, when quarterbacks you recruit win more games for other programs than your own its normally not a good thing.
  23. Give me niblett on a wheel out the backfield for 50+ TD.
