Turning and turning in the widening gyre The falcon cannot hear the falconer; Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold; Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world, The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere The ceremony of innocence is drowned; The best lack all conviction, while the worst Are full of passionate intensity. Surely some revelation is at hand; Surely the Second Coming is at hand. The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert A shape with lion body and the head of a man, A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun, Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds. The darkness drops again; but now I know That twenty centuries of stony sleep Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle, And what rough beast, its hour come round at last, Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born? This is writing. -

I always love figuring out new numbers of the newcomers, or returners who are switched. According to Derek Coopers instagram story he will be wearing 5. That’s the only one I’ve been able to find thus far. Any that you guys figure out add them here!

☝️--WRONG--☝️ It hasn't been 8 years (drafted in 2019). Hamilton was a positive WAR (BRef, FG) player in the 2024 (2.6, 1.6) and 2025 (1.0, 0.1) seasons. He's just 28. Why would he leave when he gets paid like this? He projects to have more positive WAR seasons. He should keep going and see if he can make any money after he's arb-eligible after this season.

After 8 years it’s time to get a real job. -
Forgive my ignorance, but does being in the “last 4 in,” category mean the same thing as being in a “play-in game?”

Gerry Hamilton replied to Shivam Patel's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Pretty much comes down to this ... still 9-9 lock to be in, and very likely a 10 seed 8-10, win one in the SEC Tournament ... play in game likely -

Good stuff. I met Larry McMurtry and Cormac McCarthy in San Marcos 2010 at the 25th anniversary conference for Blood Meridian. McMurtry lamented that Blood Meridian would outlast Lonesome Dove in the long run. I told McCarthy I thought he based Blood Meridian on Plato. He looked at me for about five seconds and said, "Well, yeah. No one has ever said that to me." -
