  1. Past hour
  2. I think Williams' decision was made due to other factors--heard he did not mesh well with Akina--and not because of the NIL offer.
  3. This game has turned into a laugher. Brad Jackson broke Barrick Nealy's 20-year school record for total offense on a drive that ended with his third touchdown pass of the game. He also has a rushing touchdown. Texas State has a 41-7 lead over Rice with 9:10 left in the game.
  4. So is Sark changing his tune about players entering the portal and once you enter, don't come back? I thought he briefly made mention that if the offer is not what they want/expected once they enter, that give him a call back? I thought I heard him say that before the Michigan game.
  5. As wild as Ladies Night a COCO Beach Bar on CJ's Birthday.
  6. Twitter is a direct competitor?
  7. To be honest it gets both boards clicks and views 🤷🏿
  8. Barrick has told me that they pretty much ran the same offense Texas did. Herman took a lot of what Greg Davis was doing and did it in San Marcos.
  9. Pretty sure OTF would prefer not to have links posted to direct competitors on their message board 😂
  10. That offense was powerful for that level. Watching Neely was like watching Vince Lite. Ironic that it was the same year.
  11. Knowing what I know now, I'll blame Herman's binder!
  12. I was at that game. Man, we thought we had it when we got the ball with that much time left. My friends and I were planning a road trip to the NC already. The student paper interviewed him after, where he said that even though they had a quick strike offense, they were prone to mistakes in 2 minute drill over the course of the season, and he didnt want to risk that so deep in Northern Iowa's territory.
  13. The best thing that happened this year is that GJ is still in San Marcos after the coaching carousel stopped spinning. I hope that he leads Texas State to a successful year, secures a P4 job, and then the Bobcats can hire a good coach who will inherit a much better situation than GJ walked into a few years ago. And, yes, 2005 is the apex of post-Jim Wacker Texas State. I love Coach Bailiff, but I still wonder if he thinks about whether he should've played for overtime or let Barrick try to win the semifinal with what time was left.
  14. yeah dude, it was nuts...the parties they would have there were insane. We would drive from Austin there just to go get extra rowdy.
  15. I was there I think 2 years after the name change? The upperclassmen still referred to it as SWT. I remember seeing a shirt that said Some Hook Em. Others Gig Em. We Outdrink Em!
  16. A strong collection of G5 schools. A real bummer for Oregon State and Washington State that this happened but a solid West Coast / Western US conference they’ve put together.
  17. Also lived in El Paso as a teen. My hatred for Aggies is on multiple levels lol
  18. Texas State will always be SWT to me. The lawlessness that was there was glorious.
  19. Is it in their bylaws that you have to a "State" to get in?
  20. I was a freshman there for their run to the semis in 2005. (Shout out Barrick Neely and OC Tom Herman (🤢)). I was hoping Bailiff could build something but he went to Rice and it's been mediocrity ever since. I love the vibe that Kinne has brought in, I just hope he isn't using it as a stepping stone to a bigger job. I'd get it if he did eventually, they just need some prolonged sustainability
  21. Funny enough, if Texas State had turned down Pac-12 membership, the league was probably going to go after New Mexico State.
  22. I did, I like Jake and couldn’t think of another center off the top of my head.
  23. Texas State CB Khmari Terrell, who attended Killeen Shoemaker, just left the field with an injury. Lowell Galindo, who I'm sure has looked at a map of the state of Texas, said, "Killeen, just south of the Metroplex." Yeah. I'd say it's pretty freakin south of the Metroplex.
