  1. Past hour
  2. After a strikeout by Galvan, Schuessler drives Mendoza in with a single to center. Texas has the early lead, 1-0.
  3. Mendoza drew a walk and then advanced to second on a deep fly ball by Belyeu. Texas has a runner in scoring position with one out in the bottom of the first.
  4. This would have been the 12-team playoff for this past 2024 season if this seeding had been used. TLDR: Texas would have had a 1st round bye, but would likely have played Ohio State in the Quarterfinals in the Fiesta Bowl (instead of the semi-finals this year in Peach Bowl). First Round: #12 Clemson at #5 Notre Dame #11 Arizona State at #6 Ohio State #10 SMU at #7 Tennessee #9 Boise State at #8 Indiana Quarterfinals (New Year's Six Bowls - teams with byes await winners): Winner of #9 Boise State / #8 Indiana vs. #1 Oregon (e.g., at Rose Bowl) Winner of #10 SMU / #7 Tennessee vs. #2 Georgia (e.g., at Sugar Bowl) Winner of #11 Arizona State / #6 Ohio State vs. #3 Texas (e.g., at Fiesta Bowl) Winner of #12 Clemson / #5 Notre Dame vs. #4 Penn State (e.g., at Peach Bowl)
  5. Interesting choice for pitching, even if Schloss is saving pitching.
  6. Walker retires the Vols in an impressive first inning.
  7. Ethan Walker with two punch outs to open his first career starts.
  8. Love it. Finally a good playoff decision.
  9. The Longhorns and the Vols get going at the top of the hour. Ethan Walker gets the ball for the Longhorns. He'll go against Tennessee ace Liam Doyle, the SEC Pitcher of the Year.
  10. No guaranteed bye’s in this last year of the 12 team playoff. As it should be. Committee will rank 1-12, and that’s how it will play out. https://x.com/brett_mcmurphy/status/1925614012387270758?s=46
  11. Today
  12. lol I was gonna tag you to answer, but didn’t know if you’d want me to or not.
  13. Pickell hypes everyone up - that’s his job. OU will be decent, but it’s going to be a tough game because it’s a rivalry. I don’t buy that they’re going to be a “significantly better team,” just a better offense. Defense may not be near as good.
  14. The kelvin banks type of true freshman of the world are the exception not the rule.
  15. What he meant to say was: ”We are going to become the preeminent 8-4 team in all of college football”
  16. True Freshman Kevin Banks did pretty good against Wil Anderson. "Puppies bite" - DKR
  17. Since she was in highschool I've called her lady Bird. Too good of a passer and rebounder to be solely compared to Curry and has a mean streak/competitive make up like Larry legend. Magnificent player. At this point I far prefer the women's game. Id rather watch a regular season Indiana Fever game over an NBA playoff game. Looking forward to watching Clark scorch the nets tonight.
  18. This makes me think of that barstool sports video where the guys are explaining to Kayce Smith where Texas and ATM fall in the hierarchy of sports. I can't seem to find the tweet though. If any more savvy social media folks want to find it.
  19. The Florida game was my favorite this past season. I thought sark and Quinn showed what the ceiling of the offense could be with a mostly healthy squad. I wasn't expecting that dominant of a performance and that reverse play to Bond will forever stand out as a "what just happened?" moment. Other teams even implemented the play at many different competitive levels. I wish they could have kept it rolling like that offensively the rest of the season. Beyond that, Michigan, miss state and the playoffs wins were a lot of fun also.
  20. My bad sir, I did not mean to offend. Forgive me Mr. Washington.
