Is it reasonable for each of the 10,000 kids in the portal to have a certified agent? As a locked-in horns fan, I spend most of my time thinking about the top 5% of the sport. But this thing is a whole lot bigger than whether some former 4-star recruit who's a backup at an SEC school is getting good advice on transferring to a Big 12 school. Outside of what concerns "us" and the very top of the sport, is it actually realistic (1) to require that every "agent" be certified, in the first place, much less (2) to enforce that?

My recollection is that @Joe Zura, who is one of the OTF OGs, had a bit of a fit during the infamous July 4 recruiting thread and made a big deal about Dakorien Moore in particular. Joe likes to give Gerry sh*t in response to literally everything that Gerry posts. So eventually Gerry started implying that Joe was secretly an Oregon fan, which morphed into Dan Lanning pictures and eventually into Joe being represented as a duck. I don't remember that but maybe. I do remember him talking about how the NFL looks at DL from the SEC and why he thought it was important to play in the SEC because lineman from other conferences don't get drafted at the same rate.

At Ohio State, Texas only had 6 penalties: 3 false starts (23 on Baker) and a hold on offense At Florida, it was a mess. 10 penalties, 8 on the offense. 5 false starts and 3 holds (one was decline). Oklahoma was fairly clean - 3 offensive penalties - 2 holds and a false start At Georgia: 5 offensive penalties - 2 false starts and 3 holds. (2 special team penalties) The Bowl Game at Mich was odd as well: 8 offensive, 5 defensive and 2 special teams (one from each group was declined or offset) - these penalties ran the gambit: facemask, holdings, delay of game, block in back, ineligible man down field, false starts, unnecessary roughness

As a relative newbie, can someone explain the Gerry/Oregon duck thing?

Look at Miami in the CFP and the Texans in the NFL playoffs. Both are dominant because of their elite pass rush and D line play.
