Tight game against two very good teams. As of right now, one error and a couple of free passes allowed by the Longhorns are the difference, along with Arvidson's job out of the bullpen.

Belyeu strikes out to end a seven-pitch at-bat, chasing a breaking ball in the dirt. The Longhorns just can't get a feel for Arvidson's breaking ball.

Belyeu JUST missed a walk-off bomb.

They haven't been able to touch the breaker.

Mendoza is retired on a ground ball to short. Two down.

Borba is retired in foul territory in front of the Texas dugout. One down.

Arvidson is coming back out for the ninth. He's up to 66 pitches through 4.1 innings.

Grubbs retires the Vols in order in the top of the ninth. Texas has a chance to walk it off in the home half.

It's another 1-2-3 inning for Arvidson as the game goes to the ninth.

Arvidson's breaking ball has been unhittable today. He rings up Flores for his seventh K of the game.

The leadoff single is erased with a 6-4-3 double play. Nice job by Grubbs and the defense to get two quick outs.

We're in the top of the eighth, still in a 4-4 game. Tennessee has the go-ahead run on base after Fischer singled to right. That's going to do it for Burns, who's being lifted for Max Grubbs.

Tennessee lefty is really tough - his curve is too much for Texas' lefthanded batters and hard on the righties, too, although I cannot tell why from the TV. It must look late breaking from behind the plate.

Nice work from Burns there. Just needed a good inning from him and he got the outs. Need something from the bats now.

10 Ks after 6 innings is not good. Galvan needs to get out of his slump. I don't think Flores will.
