  1. Past hour
  2. @Bobby Burton @Gerry HamiltonAnother site did a deep dive into current roster economics. Basically concluded that 2026 we will likely have 17 super blue chips on roster…two of which get $$ outside of rev sharing…so 15…if you sssume on average $1 million per, that leaves $2 million (assuming some rev share guest other sports) hurt 2926 recruits and non super blue chips on 2026 roster…this just doesn’t work. How in the world are we going to take care if new recruits? Our retained roster is simply too expensive e to recruit at a high level? Thoughts?
  3. Gotta be some type of record lol
  4. Who do you believe is the most critical uncommitted prospect left for Texas to close? Smoke Matthews for me.
  5. 8 days since Blake has been muted
  6. Waldemar has been using their kitchens to provide food for workers and searchers. Brought in generators and have been going around the clock, doing what they can.
  7. I live here. The losses are horrific. Please help in any way possible and pray for those families who have lost loved ones. It’s heartbreaking.
  8. Join us for coffee and Football starting around 8:15 AM. We will discuss the Longhorns and take your questions. &nbsp
  9. https://x.com/marinamedvin/status/1942061883902632164?s=46 this young lady was to attend our University this fall
  10. I do some work at Kerrville ISD. I don’t live there to be clear. Great town school and people. Their soccer coach and wife are gone. Two children missing. Horrific.
  11. They may be busy celebrating on their site, but how about a guest speaker from the opposing site after a loss? We’ll spend enough time beating ourselves up. Might as well see if they have any insights from an opposing view.
  12. Today
  13. Mine hit the ground repeatedly after Colt got hurt against bama... hook'em
  14. Rod is great! I enjoy his insight into the program as a first hand source as much as anything else at OTF. If some of you guys are so negative and can’t see the value in something here, don’t watch that show. It’s pretty simple. Especially if you can’t critically put together that Rod played AT Texas, lived the life of these current players. He is a student of the modern game, played it at the highest level, and has forgotten more about football than most of you could comprehend. Just a note, In anything, if you have someone that has lived it, just shut up and listen to them. Wolrd War 2 veteran, your parents/grandparets, someone who has been through any part of life you haven’t. The best way you can learn about the present is by listening and learning from the past.
  15. The good part about football when I played is no matter what anyone said off the field or did (throw your hat to the floor), you could come back and throw them to the turf that same way during the game. I wouldn’t want to give Simmons, our linebackers, or our upcoming interior D line any reason to do this, when I hadn’t played a down of CF, but these kids are different. Man that made me sound old.
  16. I don’t make post crying about recruiting. It’s a congratulatory post usually. So no my life don’t revolve around it.
  17. Bobby, This comment above and another earlier one that tapped into the void of the loss of Longhorn Network's old pre and post game content really hit the bullseye. He is referencing the old "Ricky", "VY", "Catch" and "Jammer (big hit)" awards they would give out for each game during the post game show, and you guys could pick that up and even add the "Special Teams" play of the game. Plus, while I know and appreciate the sensitive nature of critiquing individual players, it would be great to at least maybe highlight the difference-makers in the game - good and bad. You know Sark has spoken about how they have the team sessions, I think called "The Good, Bad and Ugly" on Sundays or Mondays where they don't rag on players, but point out the effort, technique and attention to detail plays when a player truly excelled at those, but also when a player badly missed one or more of those during the scope of the game. You know Sark's favorite saying to the players: “Who you are some of the time is who you are all of the time.” Accountability matters. Lastly, I think on your Sunday show or better yet, on the Monday morning Coffee and Football, it would be great to add a segment that would be a take off on the old Norm Hitzges spot here in Dallas radio of the "5 Plays that Shaped the Game" that typically focused on less heralded plays that really were game changers for Dallas Cowboy games. That would be a cool thing for the mods to have researched and "present" their cases of a couple each on Monday mornings. Oh, and if you think it would be well-received to have one of your great sponsors on to provide a pure fan comment/perspective now and then, I would be all for that!!! 🙂 Hook'em!
  18. Gotta go with Connor Williams for sure. Freshman first team All-American. Sophomore year, he was consensus All-American, one of only four longhorns to achieve at that point. Even more impressive on a meh 5-7 team overall with a terrible defense but Connor Williams blocking for D’onta Foreman ran for 2,028 yards and 15 TDs. Outside of the crazy game 1 win against Notre Dame, 50-47, with Buechele lighting it up and both Swoopes and Foreman running wild….the lone brights spots that 2016 season, imho, were Connor Williams and D’onta Foreman.
  19. @Shane this was too rich with irony for a guy who’s made 1299 posts on OTF, many of them reflecting your life seems to revolve around recruiting and which school a kid commits to. 😂 Try again. Lmao. Too funny. The humor is on point tonight at OTF. Hook em!! 🧡🤘🏼🐂
  20. Ok, I laughed out loud after this one. 😂Needed a bit of Sunday evening humor. Well done. 🧡🐂🤘🏼
  21. Seems like clean up on Isle 7 to me. That's like writing a love letter to the girl that's been waiting for you to acknowledge her after you embarrassed her in front of the entire school. Cool... see you in the playoffs.
  22. That was eloquent and powerful. Point well taken.🤘🏿
  23. Dalton Santos was 55 didn’t pan out like I thought he would though
