  1. Matt Nordgren
  2. Fred Acorn was pretty salty in the early 80s
  3. Little known fact: Dusty Hill is the cousin of propane super salesman, Hank Hill of Arlen Texas
  4. One of my favs!
  5. John Sinclair wrote “The Eyes of Texas” and yet his gravesite is overgrown with weeds. If any San Antonio ‘Horns want to help clean it up with me, let me know https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1Bj8urJve1/?mibextid=wwXIfr Hook’em
  6. Sipping Jack and Coke from a Dixie Cup while smoking a cigarette on the sidelines while the defense is on the field….Classic!
  7. From my era: Willie Mack Garza Tony Jones Eric Metcalf
  8. Coach Hays was also the father-in-law to Randy McEachern, former UT QB when Earl was winning the Heisman
  9. Sad to report on the passing for former West Columbia coach, Jack Hays. He is a member of the Texas High School Coaches Hall of Honor and was well respected by his peers. He was my cousin and spent his some of his childhood chumming with my father. Both were coaches and both in the Hall of Honor. His daughter, Jenna Hays McEachern has written about Texas football and is as much of a source on information as her friend Bill Little. Condolences of his kids Jack Jr., Jenna and Colonel Jeff Hays Jeff Hays spent many years coaching at Air Force Academy after graduating from there. Service details are pending
  10. Maybe we should consider ads for Onlyfans, Pornhub and Xvideos. Much better content I think. Note: I am kidding....kinda
  11. Agreed. We had guys like Mike Pollock and Kris Stockton who I had more faith in than Auburn
  12. I have an aggie coworker who says the reason Texas has such a huge overall record against the aggies is because for so many years the aggies did not admit women. I kid you not. That is his main excuse
  13. My teammate Duane Miller who was a three-year letterman at guard. (1987-1990) I had to go head-to-head with him on a daily basis and usually had to take a handful of Motrin afterwards. His then girlfriend (now wife) made some killer chicken spaghetti. Super nice guy. Became Todd Dodge's OL coach when he was a Rockwall and left coaching to become an attorney. Going back to old school guys: Bruce Scholtz, Mark Lang, The "smurfs" (Billy Boy Bryant, Russell Hays, and Brent Duhon), Mike Reuther, John Hains, Eric Holle, Johnny Walker
  14. Some of that is true but we did have practices at SMU. Forrest Greg came out to watch a few
