  1. Past hour
  2. We start decorating in about 12 hours apparently. I’m requesting a new set of prayers… not for Colt, but for me. Regardless of the severity, ER trips with the kiddo are never fun and always scary.
  3. Correct, but I would clarify that two loss Regular season teams will get left out for a 9-3 Texas team. I’m not as confident that an 11-1 regular season team that Loses in their conference championship game will fall below a 9-3 Texas. This mainly applies to a possible 11-1 BYU making the B12 CG and losing to a top 5-6 Tech team again.
  4. No, aggy and Bama would play in the SEC CG if Texas, Ole Miss, and Bama win out. Texas loses a 3-way tie at a 7-1 record with Aggy and Ole Miss, due to common opponent records (our loss to Florida while both Aggy and assuming Ole Miss beats Florida). Texas’ best chance is to win out and hope Ole Miss loses to UF or MSU, while Bama also wins out. That would out Bama at 8-0, and both Texas and Aggy at 7-1, and we win the head to head tiebreaker. Ole Miss would be 6-2 and not part of any second place tie breakers. Winning out does solidify Texas in the Playoffs but not the SEC CG.
  5. This is not accurate. Ole Miss has to drop a game or OU has to beat Bama for Texas to get to Atlanta even if Texas wins out.
  6. Bama would be in and we would have the tie breaker iver ole miss 2nd tie breaker is record against like opponents..we would both be 1-1 (uga and florida) and then the next tie breKer is highest rank win against common opponent and we wiuld have that by beating UGA.
  7. Two loss teams may get left out for a 9-3 Texas team. If the committee wants to incentivize big non conference games then they will have to leave out BS crap schools
  8. Is that true? I just saw the calculator
  9. Texas wins out and they sre in the sec championship game regardless of what else happens.
  10. I guess rooting for Florida over Ole Miss
  11. Damn. The SEC should be ashamed if that is the case.
  12. Today
  13. Not if BYU gets waxed by Tech again and Texas ends the season beating #3 or #2 TAMU
  14. Might be up there with punter wins bowl mvp as wierdest punter stat
  15. If Bama, Ole Miss and Texas win out and TAMU beats South Carolina, it’ll be Bama vs Ole Miss or TAMU. Ole Miss and TAMU would win that 3 way tie breaker over us based on our loss to Florida, then the two way tie between Ole Miss and TAMU might be decided all the way down the list of tiebreakers at “capped relative scoring margin vs conference opponents”. If the same situation BUT Bama loses to OU, there would be a four way tie and TEXAS would actually be #1 in SEC standings and win the 4 way tie breaker, because Florida would not be counted as a common conference opponent like it would in the Ole Miss/TAMU/Texas tie. It would be Texas vs Bama in that situation. https://bball.notnothing.net/bracket_cloud.php?conf=secfb
  16. Good post and ageee. I do not feel good about our secondary right now. I only feel marginally better about the Oline. Those two spots are weaknesses. Georgia will exploit them. Texas will have to play an A- game at worsr. We need a Sarkisian 2023 Alabama special.
  17. John Meredith would obviously be a huge win. Any word on how it went, how he views Texas?
  18. “Don’t matter what they throw at us. Only angry people win football games.”
  19. If we win out and Bama wins out… it would be UT vs Bama However, what happens if Bama loses to like OU. Would we play Ole Miss? Bama still? Aggy?? Also I 100% know this is a moot point since we have to win out first.
  20. I agree that makes it more likely. I just dont see BYU getting much respect at all after today's performance.
  21. We need Cincinnati to knock off BYU so BYu doesn’t have me regular season with 1 loss. If you have 2 - 1 loss big 12 teams playing in the big 12 championship I could possibly see a 2 loss looser of big 12 getting in.
  22. Well yes, but this post is assuming Texas goes 9-3.
  23. Or go 10-2 and remove all doubt.
  24. Bonus points for Pitt beating ND
  25. This was a big development today. Pretty much guarantees only 1 ACC team gets in. Ga tech is the only 1 loss team, but they still play Georgia. In all likelihood the runner up in the ACC championship will end up with 3 losses. None of the ACC 2 loss teams will have the resume of 3 loss SEC teams.
  26. A lot of positive things happened for Texas today. As I see it, we need Texas to go 2-1 of the remaining 3 games and have the following happen to likely secure Texas a spot as the 5th SEC team. 1. USC loses to Oregon 2. Michigan loses to Ohio St 3. Oklahoma loses to Alabama 4. Vanderbilt loses to Tennessee
  27. Is this year shaping up to have an unranked ACC team and an unranked G5 make the 12 team playoff? ( #14 Virginia and #15 Louisville just went down)
