Wow on Lott

Sark and co need to adapt just like they have every year. We have giant nil offers to contend with now. Not sure why it is necessary to say that its relationships with Chad Scott or whatever. Kj Edwards doesn’t cancel his ov without incentive. Jalen Lott would be coached in an elite offense with an elite qb at Texas. there is no reason Texas should lose to USC with this legacy recruitment. USC is just throwing money at the elite kids and it’s producing commitments. Texas is doing great with some rooms but not well at others. They’ll end up with a great class I’m sure.

I certainly would say gadget back and OP may have gone a bit far, but to be fair, the talk for months has been that an ideal RB class would be Edwards as a speed/receiving back paired with a power back like Crowell, Lattimer, Cooper etc.

Can't judge any coahces with NIL really. DT recrutiing was abysmal last year at this time till we dropped $$$.

Wouldn't mind saving the NIL money on 2 this yer and just go get the dude from Florida...

Sark & returning coaches have earned our trust recruiting, LaAllen Clark & Orphey have done a really good job. Chad Scott is an unproven commodity at this point as Texas’s recruiter of running backs, and that is concerning.

It’s like they don’t want to learn sark & staffs results have worked year in and out here, Even after we went 5-7.

Sucks about James Lott. What about Jalen? ok now being serious, losing a legacy to the biggest fraud coach in football would be a bad look.

Maybe KJ Edwards will be Mike Elko’s savior when he’s 0-2 vs Texas and trying to pick up his first W in November 2026.

Chances of a portal rb option developing by spring 27 are decent compared to the chances one of the 5 stars is a bust or blows out an ankle or knee. Sucks but put the money where it is needed most.

Sark said we don't need a RB. We are going to run a dual QB package in a couple of years.

thought this summer would be different with recruiting. unfortunately not. hoping for a big close again, even though that feels unrealistic to do every cycle.

A&M is making a play there too, as expected. The optics of Texas landing both Ojo and Turntine is not something A&M wants to see happen. Decision will come between the Aggies and Longhorns for Turntine.
