  2. So, to recap: — Sark said the defense is ahead of the offense, which he’s OK with for now. The offense needs to start picking it up, specifically letting go of negative plays and not letting things linger. — He likes the offensive line’s depth, even after Andre Cojoe’s injury. — DJ Campbell was back at practice today. Ryan Wingo should be full go on Thursday. — The defense is doing a good job of playing the ball. — Emmett Mosley has impressed Sark with tools that are better than what the staff initially expected. — There was a lot of praise for the interior defensive linemen, and Sark believes Texas has more guys who can play more snaps than what Kenny Baker’s group had last season.

  4. “The defense is ahead of the offense, and I’m okay with that.” Sarkisian says that’s historically been the case with his teams early on in camp. Right now, the defense has the edge but Sark says he is hopeful the gap closes here soon as camp progresses.

  15. “Emmett, I’m impressed with. He is a bigger guy that you think. Even for me.” Sark says he’s 210 pounds. “everything about him is probably better than you think.”
  16. Sark said they wanted an experienced, productive tight end out of the portal, which is why they went and got Jack Endries. That Endries can be a red-zone weapon is a bonus.

  21. Sarkisian says Manny Muhammad had a few picks yesterday. Jelani McDonald had one today, and Warren Roberson made plays. Sark says the defensive secondary is doing a fine job of playing the ball.

  23. “We’ve been good,” Sark said regarding quarterback ball security in camp. “Yesterday wasn’t our best day.”
  24. Sarkisian says he left practice yesterday and QB Arch Manning had the offense on the field running one final walk through. Sark adds that is just who he is.
