Random thought on big time noncon games
Assistant Regional Manager replied to John F.'s topic in On Texas Football Forum
I'm all for it, but we need to be sure that the committee doesn't have win/loss column bias, which I don't have a lot of confidence in right now after how we saw them handle SMU and Indiana last year. A 9-3 Texas with an out-of-conference loss to Ohio State should be treated differently than a 10-2 team that played Ball State, Akron, and Western Michigan in non-conference. -
I know it’s early, but he’s hitting .200. That’s Mendoza line.

Listened to that episode while at the beach during my anniversary trip. Wife had mixed feelings about that.

I like it. Huge JRE fan, along with Theo Von. I need to find me a good fishing channel.
-
Only time I need subscription TV is when the Longhorns football season comes around. Baseball and NASCAR can be watched other ways.
-
I told my wife the other day we need to cancel Hulu because 90% of the time we watch YT on the tv outside of a few shows on Discovery/History (and her Hallmark Christmas movie crap).

I don't follow all the MLB games or such, but the talent of Brice Matthews is easy to see Astros have something with this dude from Atascocita High and Nebraska https://www.espn.com/mlb/player/_/id/4838117

The Why Files guy was on JRE the other day and it was a really, really good episode. I, too, love the conspiracy/aliens/paranormal stuff.

I've never watched Outdoor Boys, but I saw they recently decided to call it quits. That's crazy because they had to be making a fortune.

Agreed on both. We watch the 50 in 50 every single day. It's an amazing idea and just fun entertainment. He's now raised 8.7 million for St Jude's. I look at the up to date tracker every day as well... https://50-states-in-50-days.experience.stjude.org/ So cool to see so many people and companies across the world step up.

I read that Wes Huff is Calvinist? Does anybody know if that’s true? I’d love to have a discussion regarding it with anyone interested, as I believe Calvinism presents a picture about God that is inaccurate according to Scripture. *Doesn’t need to be here as people don’t love politics or religion on a sports board. But messages are possible.

Tough year for Brents? -
YouTube has become my #1 thing to watch. Direct TV sucks. I pay them a small fortune and get very little worth watching besides TCM. On YouTube I watch, Sidetrack Adventures, Adventure Archives, True West Magazine, Adventures of A+K and of course OTF.

I am sympathetic to the schools not wanting to negotiate with the players as employees, because of the concern over the impact on alumni, but I believe the schools don't really want to negotiate on anything. -

Federal legislation can be tailored to fit within the SCOTUS sandbox, or they'll push through legislation knowing it will make its way back to SCOTUS in an attempt to narrow their previous ruling. As for employees, you are correct. Schools are in a weird spot of wanting to cap the madness while not wanting to deal with the employment headache. We'll see. The current landscape will not be sustainable. -
OTF, YT golf (Bryson, GM, Rick Shiels), YT Tesla/EV stuff, Matt Mitchell, Apple music. That’s about it.

First CFB Coach To Be Fired In 2025
AusMOJO replied to Blake Munroe's topic in On Texas Football Forum
I'd be surprised if Napier gets fired. They have a pretty good squad and a really good QB/RB combo. I'd put money on Pittman being fired. Started off well at Arky but hasn't been able to continue that trend. I don't think OU is going to have a great year but I'm not sure what it would take it fire Venables.
