OnTexasFootball 4-star WR/ATH Tanook Hines is on an official visit to Texas this weekend.

He was originally scheduled to OV to Baylor this weekend, but switched to Texas

A source … “Late add”

Hines, 6-1 and 195 pounds, is scheduled to visit Notre Dame June 14-16. He made an OV to USC last weekend with teammate and fellow Texas target Nicholas Townsend.

Interesting note on Hines ...

The first time Steve Sarkisian saw Hines play in person was his sophomore season at Dekaney. Sarkisian and Brennan Marion attended the Dekaney vs. Eisenhower game to watch commit Ryan Niblett and former commit Jonah Wilson.

Hines was the best skill player on the field that night.

He already made an OV to Arizona State in late April.

This one will come down to Notre Dame, USC and Texas - should the Horns push for a commitment. Ole Miss continues to try and get him in June 21-23.

Hines SEC offer list during the process: Florida, Texas, Missouri, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Arkansas, Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Oklahoma and South Carolina.

It's an interesting late development ... OTF had been mentioning Texas was trying to get him, and Hines had informed us that it would likely be June 21-23 (or to Ole Miss that weekend).

I really like that Texas has him on campus.

6-1, 190-195 with his speed and frame is rare. Fast and powerful skill athlete that plays with toughness/physicality.

Some background on Hines and Texas ... our May 17 story when Hines told us that Texas was pushing for an OV ... really like that Texas stayed on this dude.

So if he wants to commit this weekend, will they take his commitment?  If so, whose spot does he take?

Thanks for the info. Wow, 10.45 100M, 10.53 100M (3rd) and 20.71 200M (2nd)

Elite speed, 6-1 with length at 190 as a Jr. Explosive highlights. No surprise Hines has a great offer list. Underrated as a prospect by 247, ON3, Rivals and ESPN.

Rare combo of measurables. Has upside at WR and DB. Could be fantastic on TX special teams.

Hope TX has room and tries to take Hines as a WR/ATH since he may prefer WR.

I really hope Texas takes him. Just keep recruiting elite speed
