Finebaum: OU not going to the playoffs

"I think a nine-win season is doable," Finebaum said. "I'm not one that would put Oklahoma in the playoffs... I think there's too much room for error."

Paul Finebaum highlighted Oklahoma's upcoming SEC schedule, specifically the challenging away games that could potentially hinder the team's success. According to Sports Illustrated, Oklahoma has the third toughest schedule in the conference, featuring away games against Auburn, Ole Miss, Missouri and LSU.

OU has a tough schedule and going into the SEC with 5 new OL and a first year starting QB is brutal. OU will have to rely on the defense HEAVILY. They also play Tennessee, Bama, and obviously us at home as well. Go 3 and 3 in the toss up games and they're 9-3. Maybe Arnold is Manziel and just carries them but even then 9-3 would be a good accomplishment with what they're up against. I think 7-5 or 8-4 is more realistic. 9-3 means a lot, including probably the game against us, went their way.
