Moderators CJ Vogel Posted July 22 Moderators Share Posted July 22 Think Texas will rise to the teens in the next five years with all of the renovations occurring at DKR. They've done a great job revamping the environment there.
MarkInAustin
I get the Rose Bowl, but I don't really get Memorial Coliseum. It must have been super improved when it was renovated. Of course, unlike every other football stadium in America, the ones in California seem to be never full. My daughter went to hoops games on campus at UCLA but she never once went to the Rose Bowl and she did not know anyone outside the band members who did. People will brave ungodly heat and humidity in the south and blizzards in the midwest and northeast, but given usually excellent weather UCLA averages a half empty stadium. Without the prestige of the Rose Bowl game itself, the stadium doesn't do anything for me.

Yea, the setting is beautiful, but the stadium itself is meh. Nothing really that makes it stand out. As a Horn in Fort Worth, I would even put TCU's stadium above the Rose bowl. The STADUIM is beautiful and the site lines are stunning. Amazingly nice stadium for a such a small school........still not DKR though.....lol!
TarrantCoHorn
The Rose Bowl is an awesome historic site and love the stadium for the bowl game / playoffs. Can't really blame the students not wanting to leave Westwood to drive 45 minutes to Pasadena. Off campus stadiums suck.
Shane
DKR will move up with the move to the SEC and the new additions to the stadium. IMO
Adam Lane
CDC is working hard here. It is just a matter of time as he implements all his initiatives.
