With the availability of NIL now could J Will decline a scholarship and just take NIL to pay for school and stay eligible for MLB draft?

I believe the rule is once you start class, you are done.   I remember Darnell McDonald practicing till the Friday before school started then leaving for Boston farm system after agreeing on contract terms.

I thought the rule were students on scholarships were ineligible until year 3, but I'm learning as we go along.

And I think as long as they have completed 1 year of JUCO they should still be eligible as well.
