Gotta give credit where credit is due even if its with an asterisk. The top 5 or so teams in the B10 are good to very good. The rest are very ho hum. With that being said the B10 has taken home the hardware. The SEC is much more evenly matched. Even bad teams will bite ya if you dont pack your lunch pail and get to work. One distinct advantage of the B10 is an easier schedule while the SEC beats the brakes off of each other. If it were conference v conference the SEC wins. If its best v best at the end of the season...thats a much tougher question.

So long as Texas RBs finish runs with authority Im good with it. If it limits him to just making people miss Id do my best to really limit his snaps. To early in the season to get anyone seriously banged up and have to hobble through the rest.

SEC will have the final say, and I dont think itll go Tesas way. The conference would have been smarter to say anyone that declares is ineligible to return so it gets rid of loopholes.

Well guess we are in better health shape than 3|4 of the SEC. Most years the SEC beats each other up so bad that a lot of teams are a shell of what they started with. This is however about as bad as Ive seen it 4 games in.

Anyway you want to put it...this is the deepest Texas team thats been on the hardcourt in a very long time. And to think....the ball just started rolling.

Arch seems to throw better to the right when he is rolling out with his feet moving. To the left a standard drop is pretty efficient. If Texas can run shorter routes 5 to 8 yard flood concepts to set up second and very manageable there will be great opportunities to push the ball down the field on those downs or run the ball to move the chains. Either way defenses will be forced to choose which one to try to stop...I dont know any team that can match up with both against this team.

Has Muschamp been a better DC than Sark has been an OC. According to Sark they are both head coaches on different sides of the ball. No knock but the offense has traditionally started slow under Sarkisian and definitely get better as the year goes along. Additional thought is as long as Texas can pound the rock and wear out defenses and force an additional player in the box both sides of the ball will flourish. Sark just has to get away from the finesse style offense and force the issue.

Every bit of what you wrote was spot on. A few other thoughts tho... Arch with his legs is a plus 1 running threat. With the weapons Texas has at wideout defenses have to pick their poison. Cam Wingo Mosely...and now throw in solid play from the TEs both blocking and as receivers. The offensive portal players are stepping up and in turn forcing some of the home grown guys to grow up. Not in a negative way but they are seeing the way tjese guys work study and carry themselves. Thats huge. Texas new additions to the coaching staff have infused a bit more discipline and toughness. Taking no plays off relentless hustle which showed up covering up what could have been disastrous mistakes. The Horns now have experienced leadership. Last year some of the stars still jad a lot of growing up to do and had to sort out their own demons before they could be critical of others. The difference between a boss who tells you to do something and a leader who will be right beside you in the fire is showing up on the sidelines picking each other up pr chewing someone butt for mistakes. Welp NC or any of the big Florida achools would be happy to make the move. Miami or FSU both have a pretty storied past. I know the Gators would have a fit....kinda like atm did when Texas was trying to move over. Im pretty sure they can come to a middle ground. Biles was a terror for TXST to deal with. This is the most physical team both sides of the ball and Special teams. That can carry over to the rest of the season. Texas has hit a few out of the park with this group of transfers.

Hope the young man heals up quickly and doesnt hit any setbacks. Is Simon a viable 3rd option or will they stick with just 2? He appeared to be decent between the tackles albeit it was against 2 or 3 stringers on the TXST side.

Much better start for Texas. Got out fast and stayed on the gas. Great to see the 2s and 3s getting meaningful and significant snaps. Saves wear and tear on starters. 2ndary appeared to marry much better with fronts. TXST has a prettty potent offense so kudos to the defense. Those were the positives for me. Areas that Texas has to improve. GCG still not moving interior Dline off of their spots thus a power game when you have to have it is going to be an issue. There were way to many receivers running open with LBs not getting proper depth and DBs a little laxidasical over the middle. With TEs being the second most important according to Sark the lack of serioua involvement in the pass game was a little perplexing. Other areas of note: Texas WRs werw much more involved in perimeter blocking and opening up opportunities for their teammates behind them. The difference between a 5 yard and a 20 yard gain. Opposite Simmons on the DE there should be a lot of opportunities for those guys as he will demand extra attention all season. Definitely take the W but there are certainly things that need to cleaned up. Hook Em.

The reason for Kiffin has and always will be....win at all costs. Screw everyone and everyrhing else. He thumbed his nose at every other institution he was an employee of. LSU obviously has the same view or they would step in and do what needs to be done. I cant remember anywhere that dude has gone that didnt have the stinch of burned bridges and scorn of anyone affiliated.
