Lee Corso yesterday…

Yesterday on ESPN’s College Gameday, Lee Corso (like the rest of the staff) made five picks for Saturday’s games.

But he was the only one to nail all of them, including being the Lone Ranger on two of his picks.

Boise State over Georgia Southern

Vanderbilt over Virginia Tech (only one)

Penn State over West Virginia

Miami over Florida

Notre Dame over Texas A&M (only one)

He also has LSU over USC and FSU over BC.

Also, did you know that Corso turned down a contract from the Los Angeles Dodgers to play college football and that his roommate was Burt Reynolds?

More Corso facts:

- Set the career interceptions record at FSU and is still tied for 2nd on the list with Deion Sanders.

- He recruited the first black player in ACC history while he was an assistant with Maryland in the early 1960s.

- Corso called timeout while being HC at Indiana to celebrate their 7-6 lead over Ohio State. (https://www.elevenwarriors.com/ohio-state-football/remember-when/2024/07/147845/lee-corso-called-timeout-in-1976-to-celebrate-indiana-7-6-lead-over-ohio-state-with-team-photo-buckeyes-hoosiers?amp)
