Moderators CJ Vogel Posted September 2, 2024 Moderators Share Posted September 2, 2024 2026 Hun School (NJ) LB Luke Wafle was on campus over the weekend for the season opener against Colorado State. Wafle is a top-100 national prospect and was on campus at the end of July for the Pool Bash. Kyle Flood is the area recruiter and found him this spring. This is a great sign for the Longhorns to get Wafle on campus here. Texas has a real chance.

goattalk100
I honestly believe if we push for him then we will land him. It seems he wants to be at Texas based on the two recent visits and what he has said.
Moderators CJ Vogel Posted September 2, 2024 Author Moderators Share Posted September 2, 2024 Caught up briefly with Wafle, who had a very positive experience at Texas: “The game atmosphere exceeded my expectations,” Wafle told OTF. “And the football team in general just had a fire about them. It looks like they’re about to have a really good season.“

Heck of a football player, and Texas doing great early on.

Moderators CJ Vogel Posted September 2, 2024 Author Moderators Share Posted September 2, 2024 Wafle also told me he was able to speak with Coach Kwiatkowski, Coach Flood and Coach Sarkisian on the trip. Of course, as I mentioned above, Flood is the area recruiter and was the first contact he had with a Texas coach.

Flood was the HC at Rutgers at one time and has long standing relationships with a number of HC's and staffs in the Garden State. He's also from the NY/NJ area, and still has a house in Jersey.
