It doesn’t seem like personnel because I know we have better players than some teams that block better than we do. It seems alot of times they bring pressure and some of our guys take the wrong area/man and someone comes up the gut free and sometimes our guy just gets pushed like they were on skates back into the QB. I assume we’re playing the best 5 or they wouldn’t be playing. We have had good individual guys Banks/Goosby but we never have a complete highly functioning unit

I wonder what it would take for us to get a top offensive line? Wr hit the portal for it and a couple of them start. What would it take? I’d really like to know. Everyone will say fire Kyle Flood. But we been talking about offensive line for years and it just never seems to change

Everyone is talking about he should have checked out of plays at the LOS. To his defense, I don’t know how much he would be able to do that in that kind of environment and as loud as it is there. Like I said earlier, we are going to see what we saw today from defenses the rest of way or until we start burning it. We need to work on blitz/pressure beaters. We have alot of guys that are dangerous in space we need to find a way to get it to them. Do that enough and the run game will come back around. They got analysis from a ton of back grounds. Figure it out

You know I have said for a long time that with all the demands a head coach at Texas has on his time each week I don’t think a coach has enough time to watch the amount of tape you have to watch to be ready to call plays. I remember Herman saying he had to find 30 minutes to even get on the elliptical. They have so many interviews per week that they just don’t have time. I would imagine the young wife is in his er about you need to be home to see the baby. You have to watch an unreal amount of tape to be ready to call plays. I am sure he has to rely on Milwee and that other QB coach pass game coordinator or whatever they call him. Sark is not going to ever give up play calling but I think it’s a problem. He’d probably be elite if all he had to do was prepare the offense and no interviews

We need to practice from here on out is a two step drop and get the ball out. No more time to make 3 reads before you throw. I hate to say it but something with Arch and Sark just doesn’t seem to click. Idk if he just doesn’t have enough time or is getting hit too much that he can’t get settled in but Arch is a good QB but he’s not a Heisman candidate type QB. He’ll go and I’m sure have a great pro career but it is what it is going to be now. Each week we hope this is the week where we see 4 quarters put together but it never happens. The last 4 quarter game I remember was against Oklahoma State in the Big 12 championship and I think we were just that much better than them. It just never seems to happen

I thought we were onto something because I think we averaged about 4 penalties per game coming in. Small sample size but then to get 11-115 it seems like we converted back to our old ways. You can’t do that on the road in the SEC. You can’t do that and expect to be a championship caliber team. Apparently it isn’t going to be fixed. We are what we are. Sark will say every week we have alot of work to do and do a better job yada yada yada but it never happens. I’m not saying fire anyone but I don’t know if we can win a championship with the staff we have. Maybe we can and I hope so but I wouldn’t bet anything on it.

We paid alot of money for this offensive line. Way too much pressure and negative plays that get us way behind the chains. I assume this is the best five we have are someone else would be in there

What do yall think about hiring a special team coach? Banks is supposed to be a guru at ST but I just don’t see it. Some of it is the players just making stupid mistakes which I can’t blame on Banks, but man ST nearly cost us a game today. Used to when they first got here we would get several blocked punts a year. We just rush to make sure they don’t fake it now. Maybe mix it up a little to where they don’t know what you are going to do. Defense seems championship caliber but offensive and special teams doesn’t seem close to that level. We were more talented than Tennessee. We should have beat them at least by two touchdowns or more but we can’t get over the hump. I keep thinking this is the week we see a complete game and it never happens. The good is we are going is we’re going into the bye week 4-0.

I don’t think so. His offense still plays in today’s game. He didn’t have good enough players at the end. I’d like to see us incorporate his hurry up offense every now and then to change things up. He’s as good as there is at the hurry up no huddle offense. I’m not saying stay in that all the time but occasionally go into it. It helps so defenses can’t substitute. We aren’t hiring Gundy but this is just good message board talk.

I still haven’t gotten used to seeing Stoops in Texas gear on the sidelines. I’m sure he is having good input to Sark
