why do people try sweeps or Far outside runs to the short side of the field with 2 or 3 players out there already? Just seems too congested

i feel like you should always use the far side to just open up the field more and force defenders into more space 

In certain situations it gives your receivers better leverage to get blocks, just really depends on what you're asking your receivers to do as far as blocking.
