    how many 6'7" DEs with at least moderate athleticism are there? Can't think of too many, and he may have more athleticism than we think given his lacrosse background--spoken as a lax dad. He's going to be in the NFL (hopefully) for a long time to at least block kicks and knock down passes.

    would we ever get a men's soccer team or women's lacrosse teams? vandy and florida have to play in the big 12 for women's lacrosse. acc and big 10 dominate wlax currently. but it could change if more of the SEC entered the picture.

    Cj’s nugget about how any money for a patch would take away dollar for dollar from the Nike contract was interesting. I would be surprised if Texas has that in their contract but others don’t.

    sorry i meant baseball not being played @ high level world-wide. basketball definitely has some european leagues.

    You mean like the olympics? Or just one sport specific event--like Rugby and Cricket. Also, basketball has the FIBA championships every 4 years, and baseball has the World Baseball Classic. The problem with those as compared to soccer is that soccer is just so much more widespread. Not many countries play cricket or rugby (basically just former British colonies except the US) competitively. Even basketball and baseball are not really played at a high level in too many countries (maybe Japan or Korea and some caribbean/south american countries?) wheras the Spanish league, Italian league, Premier league are all considered better than the MLS. Even the Dutch and Turkish leagues have a history of producing competitive teams and there's all the teams in South America and now the African Continent. Anyway, my favorite part is seeing the visitors trying texas BBQ and Chik-fil-a and drinking all the beer in places like Boston. I live in Philly and all the Croatians and Ghanians were out this past weekend. Amazing.
