Interesting, no SEC officials in this game and no holding penalties on Texas? Wow the coaches must have really worked hard with Texas players not to hold in this game. Let's hope we don't see any more SEC officials the rest of the playoffs.

The CFP games will have refers from a conference that nether team represents. This same rule has been used in bowls.

Kinda nice to not have officials from the Big XII or SEC trying to advance narratives via flags and have the refs call a relatively even game.

There was a lot of holding and pass interference going on yesterday, but the refs generally let both sides do it, and that’s all we can ask.

There are no games where one team is 8-10 penalties in and the other is clean without a blind eye being applied.

2 penalties for 10 yards. Going to win a lot of games playing that way.

If memory serves me, neither 5 yard penalty was consequential. What a difference it makes when that's the case.
