David Clyde went to Westchester HS in Houston, not Tomball.  He graduated HS in 1973 and went straight to majors; started for Rangers weeks after graduation and won his first game. Unbelievable young talent, but had a disappointing career and bounced around in majors and minors several years before hanging it up.  Interesting story that you can find articles and videos on today.

Dolphorn you beat me to it!  I went to Spring Woods and followed David there.

I was actually in his class at WHS but I wasn’t good enough to play with that bunch. They were state finalists 2 years in a row. Clyde was the best HS player I ever saw play.
