  • Austin Jordan to…

    Bobby Burton

    the portal.

I was told on Tuesday that Jordan had decided to stay at Texas. Obviously, that decision flipped from what I was told yesterday.

Jordan is a class of 2022 signee and was currently running 3rd team at the star position. Even though he was 3rd team, Jordan was considered a valuable member of the Texas secondary.

Jordan is the second member of the secondary to declare an intent to transfer in as many days. Returning starting cornerback Terrance Brooks announced a similar decision on Tuesday.

Is there a point where we start to get concerned about Terry Joseph? Is there any issue with him? Certainly have not seen tremendous improvement with CBs as I expected to.

I think you constantly reevaluate staff but I don’t think Austin Jordan is one you do that on.

That would be classified as a personal dilemma.  Worry away if you want.

At this point, the secondary news is just bad. Losing a starter and depth. The good news is the portal can change all of that in a hurry.

Are one can look at the glasses being a half empty allowing room for improved future transfers and recruits.

That's Bobby has pointed out. These transfers out are all Herman's guys except for Brooks.
