Four-star CB target visiting Texas Friday

The Texas Longhorns will host of the top cornerback targets in the 2025 cycle Friday.

Pearland (Texas) Shadow Creek cornerback Cobey Sellers told OnTexasFootball that he will make an unofficial visit to Texas Friday.

Sellers, 5-11.5 and 175, has been a top target of the Longhorns for almost a year. Defensive backs coach Terry Joseph has maintained constant communication with Sellers since the spring of 2023. Head coach Steve Sarkisian and area recruiter Blake Gideon were by the Houston area school in January.

Oklahoma entered the spring in a good spot, and the Sooners will receive an official visit June 21-23. Sellers may also take in the Oklahoma Spring Game April 20. Sellers will make an official visit to Texas June 14-16, the weekend after an official visit to Texas A&M. Georgia and LSU are also in the picture.

Texas offered Sellers April 13, 2023.

Gerry, is Texas still after Akylin Dear? Is he worth the hour drive to go watch play next season?

He’s worth the drive to watch!

Texas is re rioting Dear … Bama and Ole Miss will be tough outs.

Jordon Davison and Rickey Stewart are the most likely RB’s in the class

Hey Gerry with Bert Auburn being a senior do you see Texas adding a scholarship kicker in this class?

    Definitely think that is possible

Gerry do you expect Sark to go heavy on

Defensive tackles this recruiting season or rely on the portal ?

Both! 3-4 from HS level for sure in 2025

4 DTs from HS and 1 more DT from the portal is ideal heading into next season.
