  1. Tennessee insiders are suggesting that Cam Seldon will be entering the transfer portal at end of the season. Would Texas be interested?
  2. There was a Longhorn, a Baylor Bear, and an Aggie that were each tasked with crossing a hot desert. They were asked that if they could only bring one thing with them, what would it be and why? The Longhorn answered: water, so if I get thirsty, I'd have something to drink. The Baylor Bear answered: food, so if I get hungry, I'd have something to eat. The Aggie responded: a car door, so if I get hot, I can roll down the window.

  4. Hey Gerry, is Texas looking at or interested in Xavier Warren at Georgetown at all? https://www.hudl.com/profile/18368674/Xavier-Warren
  5. Do an aTm sponsor is sponsoring the rivalry.
  6. KVUE 24 has video on YouTube.
  7. How long is this presser supposed to last?
  8. Is this gonna be live streamed anywhere?
  9. Texas v Oklahoma Texas v A&M Tennessee v Alabama Notre Dame v USC Air Force v Navy Texas Ex Life Member, so the two Texas rivalries are top of list. Vol For Life alumni member, so Rocky Top v Bama. Irish heritage, so ND's biggest rival in USC. Air Force veteran with my Dad being a Navy vet, so AF v Navy. 🀘
  10. Thanks Bobby! Sad you have to state this, but there are always going to be bad apples out there that need to hear it. Could you do an Aggie joke on Coffee & Football? πŸ™‚
  11. My Tennessee Vols are still alive--gotta get past Creighton tonight though. Tough matchups in this one.
  12. Can't wait for this season. Here's hoping we have more than 5 breakout players coming out of spring! πŸ™‚
  13. I actually put Roy Williams in there because of that "superman" sack in the Red River. Suprised nobody else besides Rod voted for that.
  14. Good question. I'm not sure. Was kinda thinking that this generation might latch onto the UTs rivalry over our rivalry with Arkansas which has been dead during most of this generations lifetime.
  15. I agree with it all being good fun for sure. Tennesse is older, however, they were Bount College when founded, changed to East Tennessee University, and then finally University of Tenneessee in 1879 I believe. Texas was founded, albeit in name only, in 1839 when the Republic of Texas passed legislation and set aside money for the University of Texas. Mexico, annexation, and the Civil War all delayed the building and ultimate opening of doors for Texas till 1883. Still, I wanna see this game badly! πŸ™‚
  16. I do too. Like I said, I graduated from both. Being from Texas, when I went to Tennessee they all said "oh you decided to come to the real UT" and then when I went to grad school at Texas and they saw I did my undergrad at Tennessee they all said "oh you decided to come to the real UT" LOL So, I decided to try and figure it out and went into Google and typed in: ut.edu and freaking University of Tampa popped up!! 17. Hey Blake, heard on another podcast an interesting theory. They were saying that the Chip Kelly hire to OSU meant that Ryan Day's seat is really hot and they now have his replacement in house at OC. That is the reason Kelly did a step down move--he was shown the writing on the wall for Day. Thoughts?
  18. Would anyone besides me want to see a Texas vs. Tennessee rivalry begin with our entering the SEC this year? I love the history of the two states (Texas history in grade school gave me reason to love Tennessee), the similarities between both the states and the two flagship schools, etc. Yes, I am biased as I graduated from both Tennessee (BS Ed.) and Texas (MEd.)
  19. Can't afford to lose to OU two years in a row. Losing to UGA would almost be expected (by outsiders anyways) and almost understandable at least by Texas fans. Also, UGA would most likely would present a rematch in title game to redeem ourselves. But, obviously, lets just win 'em all! Hook 'Em!
  20. I like having at least one credible non-con on the schedule. It just shows that we aren't scared of playing anyone. I understand the argument against it, but I'm too much of a competitor to agree with that argument. I also see the non-con schedule as an opportunity to find 'fun' matchups or interesting ones at least. For example: Texas vs. Texas State (new non-con rivalry game?)
  21. We could afford a loss to either OU or UGA and be fine. With Michigan in shambles, we should win this one handily. ATM is the one we have to win--returning rivalry game, end of season (recency bias), and the fact that they are with new coaching staff and a reworked roster. Cannot afford a loss to them.
