  1. DT is more than a position. It's a phobia.
  2. Correct. It was Murphy, even though he was 50+ pounds smaller. Most think it was Sweat, and he did play there some. Just one example of how the three and 1 technique tackles are often more interchangeable than commonly believed.
  3. Quick, don't look it up, but who played the most at nose in 2023, Sweat or Murphy?
  4. The Rodney Terry effect was on full display down the stretch. Especially without Kaluma, we were badly outmanned today.
  5. A Miami team that finished in the Final Four, something UT hasn't done in Men's basketball but once in around 75 years.
  6. Lost just about every player from last year except Weaver, and he's been injured. Obviously couldn't afford to lose Kaluma. Just about a complete rebuild. It has further hurt that Tre Johnson has not been playing well.
  7. RT picked up the pieces after Beard was fired and led them to a Great 8 finish last year, something UT has only done 7 other times in school history.
  8. Came in needing a lot more time in the weight room. Then he had that injury as a freshman that required surgery after the season, I believe on his shoulder, and that affected his strength training. Still needs more strength, IMO. I think a good off season in the weight room would still improve him.
  9. All-American Weunsch (#50) made the key block on Billy Dale's game winning touchdown against Notre Dame, assuring UT's second national championship. http://texaslsn.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/1970billydaletouchdownagainstNotreDame.jpg
  10. Their first was the 1925 Rose Bowl, after which they turned down all bowl invitations for 45 years. Then they decided to accept the 1970 Cotton Bowl invitation against #1 ranked Texas.
