  1. In 1970, the last year of the most glorious three year run in UT football history, in which they won 30 games in a row and a national championship (1969), there were three UT All-Americans - Steve Worster, Bobby Wuensch, and Bill Atessis - all of which were starters over that three year run. Wuensch and Atessis were both from Houston Jones, which doesn't exist in name anymore. It's now named Jones Futures Academy, which doesn't have a football team.
  2. Beard was fired on January 5th. Someone had to coach that team to the Elite 8. Like it or not, that coach was Rodney Terry.
  3. The team with the most talent usually wins. - John Wooden
  4. Actually ahead of the historical standard for his first two years.
  5. DT is more than a position. It's a phobia.
  6. Correct. It was Murphy, even though he was 50+ pounds smaller. Most think it was Sweat, and he did play there some. Just one example of how the three and 1 technique tackles are often more interchangeable than commonly believed.
  7. Quick, don't look it up, but who played the most at nose in 2023, Sweat or Murphy?
  8. The Rodney Terry effect was on full display down the stretch. Especially without Kaluma, we were badly outmanned today.
  9. A Miami team that finished in the Final Four, something UT hasn't done in Men's basketball but once in around 75 years.
  10. Lost just about every player from last year except Weaver, and he's been injured. Obviously couldn't afford to lose Kaluma. Just about a complete rebuild. It has further hurt that Tre Johnson has not been playing well.
