  1. I am not saying Arch is injured.

However, forgive us if we don’t trust Sark who never told us about Worthy’s injury that he played through or Quinn’s injury, etc.

Arch definitely grimaces and has some serious stinker throws.

I get it, dude, you've been told that there is nothing to see here, so, hey, nothing to see here.

You have no clue whether Omeozulu makes any sense at Tackle whatsoever. He's rarely played Guard and was allegedly being pressed there. Now he's the next best option at LT after not repping there since HS? I guess, maybe, but what's happening here is removing gelling reps from 3 different positions because one has an injury that appears more serious than anyone is letting on. It's a bizarre move. The situation you reference last year was one made out of desperation. That's fine if that's the case here as well, but your initial post doesn't indicate that there's anything of concern.

Anyone not looking at this and thinking, "huh, this is weird and probably raises some red flags" isn't actually thinking.

  3. I don’t understand all the hand wringing.

Guys - this is simple.  Here is Sark’s strategy:

    1. Invite guys to visit unofficially to show they are interested.

    2. Have guys come on official visits and  show them all the amazing things UT has to offer and have them fall in love.

    3.  Start handing out NIL offers as a way to “choose” the guys they want.  Low ball guys  that are low on the list and see if you can get “value” commitments and give the guys you want a “solid competitive offer”.

    4.  Guys who love UT will commit with NIL offers that are on or under budget.

    5.  Guys who do not commit but the staff really wants - you keep recruiting through the whistle with knowledge of what the NIL  market is for the player.

    6.  Circle back in December and match NIL offers for guys you want and since they loved everything about UT they will choose the good guys by simply matching or getting close to the NIL number.

This ensures UT is never setting the market or bidding against themselves.  Effective and genius!!

And if you start with a $1 dollar bet, lose 10 in a row, then win the 11th, you are betting $1024 on that 11th bet, and when you win, you realize a net return of $1.

Exactly!!! We were young and poor so did $10, $20, $40, $80, etc.  table limit of $1000 got us

If you double your bet every game, then all you need to do is win the last game.

lol - I tried this in my younger years in Vegas on Roulette. I thought I had it all figured out playing black and red. I would wait for 3 in a row and then bet the opposite and keep playing that color but doubling my bet every time.  Of course, Vegas wins because of Table Limits!  At some point, I could not keep doubling my bet.

  6. I heard Joel Klatt discussing how the game plan was to get to the perimeter in short yardage situations.  That is what the tape shows since OSU (similar to us) has had many goaline or short yardage stuffs.

i am surprised we did not bring Arch in for some zone read / boot options.

edit:  Just heard Arch was not available.  He was concussed on the other run play.  True??!?!?

  7. Having an older and experienced team matters.

One thing I don’t think has been discussed much re: Texas and the transfer portal is Sark seems to get one year rentals.  He seems to not want to rock the boat with multi year eligibility guys that are not planning to go pro.  He has seen it did not work out with Cole or Savea or Carter.

He likes to sprinkle on top with players off to the NFL.

i understand that is a luxury but also different that some schools approach.

  8. Video

My brother is an OU fan. He watched this video with Jason Belzer who runs the OU Collective as well as Vanderbilt, GT, Rutgers, Wake Forrest, etc.

He is VERY transparent about how NIL works, talks specifics and talks about Dillon Gabriel and Cayden Green. Apparently OU spends $4M per year and is a top 15 spender. Each kid got at least $26k, with the average being $45k.

The most insightful and behind the current interview I have heard. Sorry it is about OU, but super interesting.
