    Weird reply - If you watch, the initial block was a yard or two beyond the line of scrimmage. I'm not sure who would want second contact on the same play after being knocked 5 yards backward. You would be unwilling also.

    @Gerry Hamilton Piggy backing on GH tough district commentary, I would like to add a year and a district that is somewhat mind blowing. 1980 The Thomas Jefferson Yellowjackets (of Todd Dodge fame) went to state undefeated where they lost to Odessa Permian. That year TJ was the only team to go to the playoffs from their district. The PNG Indians had 2 district losses, one to West Orange Stark and the the other to TJ. West Orange Stark had only one loss and it was to TJ. On the road to the finals (maybe the semifinal) TJ played Spring Branch STRATFORD who finished the year with 3 losses. Those losses were to PNG, WOS and TJ. Theoretically, any one of those three teams could have played for state.

    Agreed, but if the question is what is the perception/expectation of the casual fan, I think as you do, they are overly optimistic. Not saying it can't happen, but the progress made will have to be confirmed on the field. If it happens then a 2025 , 11-1 with a CFP Championship is realistic

    Gerry, it is a little premature but here are some measurables on the guy I asked about this morning on OTF. Keep in mind he is a 2027, so the times will only get better. I took an interest in him during the playoffs as Randle was potentially squaring off against PNG. He would have presented real problems, even as just a freshman last year. Landen Williams-Callis boasts a 4.48 40-yard dash. His personal records include 10.61 seconds in the 100 meters and 21.85 seconds in the 200. Here is an 8th grade LCW
