  1. https://x.com/FinsXtra/status/2005396666850156960?s=20 Dolphins coaching staff and local media seem to be very happy with Quinn. Great to see!
  2. Remember the first UG game in 2024? In the first half the aggression from the 'dogs was overwhelming. Our O was shell-shocked. That's what Sark wants to see.
  3. Sark essentially said that WM is a second head coach with full authority and responsibility for the defense. Sark will apply his full attention to the offense rather than having to keep an eye on the defense which he was apparently having to do with PK. This is huge.
  4. Sark said in his presser that hiring WM will give him more time to focus on the offense. That suggests he's had to supervise the defense under PK more than he will now. That will improve the offense.
  5. A significant bonus to hiring WM, aside from taking the D up a notch in attention to detail and aggression, is an inside look at the UG defensive details and an opposing coach's scouting report on your offense. Both instrumental in defeating UG down the road, and critical information PK could never provide.
  6. The current NIL rules level the playing field and create parity. Texas has the advantage of being the premier program in the state and residing in Austin which has a growing and relatively affluent economy. That opens lots of doors for private NIL deals for those athletes willing and able to pursue those opportunities. That has to be Texas' pitch to differentiate themselves from other programs.
  7. I know for a fact that Arch doesn't accept any NIL $$$ from the school/collectives, etc. Same as Quinn. His NIL is all private deals.
  8. Don't forget what Colt said this week...the team is going into the game relatively blind because they had no good film on the new OC and DC which Colt said was a huge OSU advantage compared to the abundance of film on our coordinators. Makes sense.
  9. A couple of days ago, Colt did an interview leading up to the game. Perhaps some of you saw it. He said that a huge advantage for OSU was that they had a new OC and DC with no useful tape to study. OSU had plenty on us because of our coordinators being unchanged for years. Arch seemed out of sorts because they were disguising everything really well. He had no idea what the coverage was until the snap so he had to adjust in real time.
  10. We had significantly more running and passing yards, but the RZ execution was the difference. Penalties didn't help, either.
  11. The OL actually looked pretty good with run and pass blocking. Not sure if they're that good or OSU's D line is not that great.
  12. We outplayed them in many respects, but the penalties and RZ woes were brutal.
  13. We've outgained them, but can't score in the RZ. Frustrating game.
  14. Again, a penalty impacts the drive. Gotta clean it up or this is a loss.
  15. He's challenging the OL to get it done. Playing the long game.
