    You make solid arguments, especially the NATO analogy. Yet, I disagree to an extent. In that schools like Bama, Georgia, Tennessee and Florida have plenty of money and great alumni support. So I do agree that we will have influence just not as much as we did in the Big 12.

    I lived in Bryan for 6 years while doing my doctoral studies. Also taught at Aggieland for 4 years before moving to Poland. Used to listen to Lucci. Always found him to be too zealous and unreasonable in his Ags assessment. And he was far too unreasonable and off-base about the Horns.

    Great question. I've been thinking about this also. I think it's quite possible that Arch plays 3 years at Texas, given the way the Mannings view developing. If that happens, I would think KJ and Trey both portal out, leaving Dia,and of course Sark will keep bringing in quality at that position.

    I quit thinking about the Heisman as anything but an offensive award. If they committee wants to do it right, there should be a winner on offense and one on defense. And frankly even running backs and wide receivers are at a huge disadvantage.

    Great memories, and I thank you for helping those kids. DKR wanted John to come to Texas but he couldn't qualify academically. He also wanted Don Baylor, but Don signed to play pro baseball as you might remember. Brooks was an awesome athlete.
