  1. Boise State stayed alive with a 66-56 home win over Nevada. Three B1G games of interest tonight tOSU (28) @ PSU (48) PSU is getting desperate for some good wins. NET is still fairly strong, but 1-7 in q1 isn't helping. No good OOC wins and maybe the weakest conference schedule in the Big Ten (drew extra games against Rutgers, Minnesota, and Indiana). Might need to get to .500 in the conference or get some wins in the conference tournament. Mike Rhoades may prove to be a pretty good hire there. Illinois (10) @ Nebraska (62) Another desperate team at home. Nebraska on 6 game losing streak including two 30+ point blowouts and two home games against teams that won't make the field. Oregon (27) @ UCLA (33) One of UCLA's best wins this year was @ Oregon, one of Oregon's two q2 losses. The other was in its last game (@ Minnesota). UCLA on a 4 game winning streak.
  2. I saw that one of the bracketebazookies actually promoted Texas from a 10 to a 9 seed after last night.
  3. We have 10 games left in the regular season. Pomeroy likes us slightly better now than he did this morning. He either favors us or has us in a one possession game in 9 of our remaining 10 games. We have Kaluma back. That's really big for us, even if he brain farted a couple of possessions tonight. I'm not a Beterriliever. OK, that didn't work even remotely as a joke, but the point remains that this team can go either way. Get it to full strength, and maybe we have something. Maybe we don't. I'm going to root for wins.
  4. Beard was 0-5 on the road against ranked teams in his tenure here. Just saying.
  5. WVU lost by 14 at home. To Houston, so no shame there, but WVU is sinking fast. Santa Clara woke up to lose by only 13. St. Mary's will in all likelihood make the tournament and face an early exit again. It's what it does. I didn't include this game, but Rutgers won @ Northwestern. Northwestern, meet fork, Creighton beat Xavier by 9. Xavier will need to find some quality wins. UNT survived a close game. It if keeps playing close games, then it is bound to lose one or two along the way, and it can't afford that. SMU won against a bad Cal team. Still not a believer.
  6. Kent had 3 offensive rebounds in the first half. And he did nothing else the entire game. Sometimes when I rag on a player, he plays well. Kent, you have been nearly worthless this year. So there is your prompt to kick some a** from here on out.
  7. I don't quite understand why Pryor played so little in the second half. He had a very good game. I think I understand wanting to believe in Mark because he had the big plays at the end of the game against A&M, but Pryor is showing us a lot of good minutes.
  8. Tough loss on the road to a ranked team. We're still on a track to make the tournament. We had a shot to tie, but missed it. We had the guy with a chance for a putback in our previous possession, but there was unlucky carom. Tough loss. I'm sure there are several of our fans who will masturbate to the fact that we lost, but I'm not one of them. I'm not going to say we would have won with Weaver available, but Pope was terrible tonight. We rebounded well, but we lost the turnover battle big time. Not a great team, but a team that has been scrapping for wins and nearly won a game on the road that Pomeroy gave it a 28% to win. Let's beat LSU and get a win in our home stand against Kentucky and Alabama.
  9. I never said Shedrick won tournament games. You mentioned our lottery pick big men. I said they never won a tournament game. Then you brought Disu into the conversation. Don't blame me for changing the subject.
  10. Kaluma in a Get Smart moment. Missed it by that much.
  11. Pedulla was moving so much on that play, that it had to be called a blocking foul.
  12. He is why their defense is so much better than it was last year.
  13. One possession game in the final minute against a ranked team on the road. Win or lose, why should we criticize the team for this?
  14. No, announcers were wrong when they said he fouled out.
  15. ODon't give me that. Disu was not a lottery pick. ur lottery pick one and done big men didn't do a damn thing. You can add Greg Brown to that. BTW, Disu shot 9/36 from the floor in 2 games in the tournament last year with just 9 rebounds, and he wasn't even around for the second weekend in 2023.
  16. Anyone else wondering why we have seen so little of Pryor this half?
  17. If we are only going to jack threes the rest of the game, then we are dead.
  18. Wow, Kaluma. Horrible three attempt.
  19. We're still in a one possession game against a team that has a double digit advantage at fta.
  20. I hear you, but tell me again how many tournament games Hayes, Bamba, and Turner won for us.
  21. This is a game to make me wonder how much better off we would have been with Weaver available.
  22. NBA continuation. Works for me. This time, anyway.
  23. I'm happy if Kaluma can drive all Pedulla every possession from here on out.
  24. Larry right back in, and he lets the ball get knocked away from behind. Our offense has been dreadful all half.
  25. And so does Johnson. Minus contribution from the guys who just came into the game.
