  1. Every time Gerry Hamilton mentions Brad Wesley and Texas Tech...
  2. Portal Kombaaaat! @Gerry Hamilton when we reach 100k.
  3. I was stationed in Colorado and grew up near Landrum SC. I miss them both. But I love laughing at Texans when it snows.
  4. That's Guaranteed to raise a smile
  5. I was also Active Duty Air Force until I went to UT in 2004 and for the 2009 National Championship I went to visit a buddy at Lakenheath after I had seperated from the Reserve and Graduated College. I wanted to do my one month European tour in January of 2010. I was able to find a pub doing a lock-in and the game didn't start until after 2AM. Very surreal being in an English Pub in Cambridgeshire after hours with a handful of Alumni and 1 very bored Publican.
  6. On my way home from the bar where I was watching the game I got sideswiped by a drunk driver. Only problem is I had had a drink or two as well. I was a broke college student with an old 4 door honda accord and when we got out to exchange information turns out we had both been drinking and watching the game. I realized that there was some damage to my fender that I could bend out with a breaker bar to clear the tire and it was as good as new. The other driver admitted fault, but as we were both probably above the legal limit, we spent a few minutes talking about how awesome that game was, high-fived, and went home.
  7. Having lived in both Austin and San Antonio I will say we can't let them know about the breakfast tacos, keep Austin thinking they invented them and that it's normal to pay 6 bucks for a taco with arugula on it so they don't try to ruin ours by arguing about authenticity. It's simple guys, pork lard, full stop.
  8. I do miss Asheville and the Pisgah National Forest.
  9. There were only tens of thousands of them, but no, because of the Tylers I decided to leave as soon as I turned 18.
  10. I put down roots in San Antonio, but I've lived all over and was born and raised in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
  11. This is definitely one of those seasons that is taking it's sweet time getting here.
  12. I was a NonComm in the Air Force so leadership training is near and dear to my heart. Your doing a higher powers work sir.
  13. I loved the Article DrRush. I have degrees from UT in Economics and Mathematics and am obsessed with choice architecture and how environment influences decision making in the consumer and finance spaces. I did try to make a similar argument about the bottom line dollar figure not being the end-all be-all in another chat and was basically called naive. I also think we are seeing some wild-west aspects that have all fans calling foul on all other programs but it's good to see clear, concise information about a real life scenario. But fans are going to fan and there is a lot of all-or-nothing thinking sweeping through the longhorn faithful right now. Cheers to the moderating influence.
  14. So Vincent Paul Young's 2005 Rose Bowl Stats were eerily similar. Arch Accounted for 6 fewer total yards and 1 fewer touchdown so even though history may not repeat itself it certainly rhymes. I am hoping that Arch loses out to Jayden Maiava for the Heisman and takes it out on the 2026 Trojans in the 2027 Rose Bowl Game. If, for no other reason, than another Will Ferrell vs. Matthew McConaughey promo before the game. And that's not even the semifinal.
