  1. I'm guessing Terry is a 3 years and off to the NFL player. Whichever position that gets him on the field the quickest is good for him and good for us.
  2. Yeah, if people thought Texas fans were rough on Quinn... The Jets might be the last team I'd want him to get drafted by.
  3. Can't believe I'm saying this as a born and raised Houstonian, but I actually feel sorry for Dallas fans. This trade was practically a criminal act.
  4. IMO - Needs to be drafted by coach/team that fully believe in him (true for everyone though, basically) - He needs to add good weight to withstand hits in the NFL - Needs to obsessively work on all the fundamentals of a drop back QB. Footwork, timing, reads, processing quickly, etc. Ditch the desired Mahomes style of play, it won't work for him. Be more like Drew Brees. - Be patient and take the 1-2 years as a backup to possibly turn into a starter.
  5. I haven't watched a game all year. Use to watch every Texas MBB game I could. I'm sure there are many other fans like me, it's just untenable to stick with RT barring a miracle run here.
  6. I'm not knocking Sark. It's a compliment.
  7. Agreed. Off the field, Sark is currently the best HC in college football IMO.
  8. I doubt we go after a RB1, but think we need to add someone to the room. Can see us taking 1 WR and 1 TE. 1-2 DTs, maybe a veteran CB similar to Gavin Holmes? And a PK?
  9. Butch Hadnot in football. Terrence Rencher in basketball.
  10. Embrace the expectations and hype. The kid is ready to roll.
  11. We had a franchise LT for the last 3 years. Dude carried himself like an All-Pro from Day 1 in Austin. Extremely impressive young man. No doubt he will shine in the NFL. Hook'em, Kelvin.
  12. The best things Sark has done at Texas are completely wiped away with the strictly on the field HC duties of the NFL. I also think his willingness and ability to adapt to new CFB landscape gives him a decided edge over other HCs and programs. And he knows it.
  13. It seems Tennessee is in a healthy place as a program, despite the terrible game last night. I'd be surprised if any studs hit the portal.
  14. Need to get rid of the state of Texas at midfield. *ducks*
  15. You said Quinn "did everything you could reasonably ask." I showed you a replay where it's reasonable to believe he can make a much better throw there, and it was a CRUCIAL play in the game.
  16. Yes, after 5 touchdowns in about 20 minutes of relief for Quinn vs. UTSA, Arch came out in his first start ever and showed some youthful mistakes. Had a really bad forced INT early. While he hit a few nice deep balls, he was overly aggressive. Then the next week vs. Miss State, he came out MUCH sharper and in control. 26/31 with 300+ yards passing. Instead of going off ULM tape, go rewatch his next start vs. Miss State. He also comes in and scores one of our 2 TDs vs. A&M on his first play in the game. He has showed clear improvement between starts, which is a great sign. His footwork and mechanics are very solid, he's tough in the pocket, throws a beautiful deep ball, is a mobile and physical runner. Even with a mostly new OL next year, get ready for the fireworks. Our offense will be much more explosive.
  17. Large sample size, Quinn got benched in the first half of the 1st UGA game because of poor play. I have no desire to sh*t talk QE though. Is it not ok to be excited about Arch, his style of play, and what he's shown on the field this year? Do I have to wait until Quinn leaves to do so?
  18. There is no data to support Arch not being ready to face Georgia. See how easy that was?
  19. LOL. What's the point of discussing anything in sports without speculation?
  20. There's no data to support mobile QBs being able to convert at a higher rate on off schedule plays? Ok. Do you watch football?
  21. Arch fixes a lot though. His ability to move out of the pocket and run means you can still move the chains on plays where everyone isn't doing their job.
