    And that’s probably not a bad thing… in the NIL era you pay recruits based off their projections, and when they fail to live up to it I’m sure the NIL package changes, and guys will look for other opportunities. The staff has to do this because they can’t afford to lock up NIL dollars with underperforming players or they will lose their jobs. its the unfortunate side effect of the NIL day and age, yes players get paid, like employees, but that also means they will be fired/cut like an underperforming employee would at a job.

    Despite some being frustrated with recent results, this is the best outcome for the program in my opinion. One down year does not constitute a need for firing or running him off…

    Him or Freeman would be a home run hire… would likely get to keep a lot of our recruits too.

    Is it if Dia Bell decommits, and Arch decided to transfer? I’m not sure you can definitively say that… best case scenario we would replace Sark with a guy like Freeman… but say that doesn’t happen and we have to go for a lesser known commodity then what?

    At the end of the day that would be disastrous depending on who came in to replace Sark… would almost guarantee roster turnover and some rebuilding.

    My guess is with the new NIL era and the amount of dollars getting thrown around these coaches leashes are about to get a lot shorter than they use to be, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see this sort of turnover on an annual basis.

    First time potential season ticket holder here, got a time slot for potentially getting some seats, was curious what everyone’s thoughts were or if I even have a real chance. I gave a pretty sizable donation to get some real points, and my time slot is the afternoon of May 8th, not sure if that’s early or late or what may or may not be available come that time… anyone with insight?

    Will be easy enough to tell, if he starts popping up on other campuses, including his official to Texas in June, you know it’s open season still. after what we saw in December at the end of last cycle it’s hard to feel like any verbal commitment matters at this point.

    I’m old enough to remember the panic in the summer of 2024 over DT recruiting 😂 … let’s all try to remember this in 2025.

    QB feels like a position where you need one in every class knowing that not everyone is going to eventually start for you. If Arch stays two more years, either Lacy or Owens will transfer. This is part of bringing in top recruiting classes every year, talented players will leave and very well may be successful in other places, but we will keep the ones we want and keep stocking more talent behind them.

    It’s definitely not a bad thing, all I’m saying is even if they would commit it’s such a long road ahead.

    Well and if last cycle was any indication those conversations continue through signing day in December. Early commits are fun, but in this day and age they certainly don’t mean a ton until signing day.
