  1. @Hank South It sounds like Texas viewed him as a CB, correct? I know others have him listed as a safety. What did the staff view him as and what do you feel his long term position will be? I'm not worried nearly as much about CB in this class, but safety is looking a bit thin right now.
  2. Wow. That's a really tough one between Rogers and Scott. Both were beasts.
  3. You're totally right about the physicality. I wonder it he comps at all to Emmett Mosely? @Gerry Hamilton thoughts on that comp?
  4. TTU is chasing stars. Just like everything else up there at this point, they want quick fixes and think highest star ranking by industry means better player. While that is true a lot of the time, you are always going to miss on a number of gems if you are only paying attention to stars. Ask Mack Brown about that from about 2009-2014...
  5. It's pretty interesting watching his film. Obviously he's not playing against DFW and Houston level talent out there, but what really stood out to me is he seems really polished for a high school junior. He naturally works to find open space in zone coverage. He sets up defenders in man coverage. I think his "super power" as RodB would say is his stop and start/change of direction. He has great feet. I really like this guy. If he was in DFW or Houston there's not way he wouldn't be ranked waaaay higher.
  6. I prefer both Sherrard and Jackson over McGee. He's a good player and wherever he ends up will be happy to get him. I wish him all the best.
  7. Now don't go trying to give this board hope...
  8. Great interview Bobby. Just had to get a jab in at A&M there at the end didn't you!
  9. This has been my thought process through this whole thing. Tech and the Sorsby camp are making a complete mockery of addiction and recovery. It's disgusting to see the enabling that is happening to someone that very likely does have an addiction and is not getting the actual help and cold hard honesty he needs in order to truly deal with it and start true recovery.
  10. I don't know. What's the point in holding back..Spill the beans...
  11. @Bobby Burton Has any of this information been sent to other media outlets in order to push this info forward even more?
  12. @Blake Munroe The graphics are fantastic! Keep it up! Love the idea of this countdown looking at each of the years. It's really cool
  13. I will come out and admit it.... My grad degree is from TTU. Up until the last couple of years, I was able to root for both schools except when they played each other. Then, it was always UT. It was fun. I had 2 dogs in the fight and there were more games that mattered to me on Saturdays. All that said, I have never been more embarrassed about being associated in any way with TTU. The way they have handled everything the last 2 years has been awkward, but the last 2 months has been abysmal. Knowing people at the university, I really didn't think we would see the day that they would be this petty and blatantly disgusting. I knew they had a major little brother syndrome and they would do some things that were over the top, but this is ridiculous. So long watching or caring about them moving forward, at least until major changes within the leadership of the athletics department takes place.
  14. We haven't even been able to make good contact for the most part. The foul ball by Stewart was the best contact that has been made the whole game. And she followed that up with a grounder straight to 2nd base. It just feels like the offense isn't there.
  15. This is a tough watch so far. Our ace didn't have her stuff (she seems off lately - several starts that haven't gone well) and our offense has been nonexistent. They can turn it on really fast, but it's not looking encouraging right now.
  16. You can't help but listen to that and appreciate Vic as a man. You may not agree with every coaching decision he makes, but there's very few coaches who are as open and honest about how he sees the game and how he coaches. Thanks for posting. Proud that Vic is a Longhorn!
  17. Been a member here since 2024. I live in the Salt Lake City area now (for the last 6 years) but was born and raised in TX and lived in the Austin area for 14 years before moving out here. My first UT memory is fuzzy. I couldn't tell you any details, but it was watching the UT vs A&M game on thanksgiving in the late 1980's or early 90's. I was born in 1983, so it was sometime in there. It was a tradition we always did with our extended family and still do to this day.
  18. Winner. But I would also put Kansas with that stupid bird up there. And I know I will take some shots for this very unpopular opinion, but I have always thought the LSU helmet is highly overrated. It just feels like too much with them spelling out "Louisiana State University" and having the tiger. I like the uniform in general, but I've never thought the helmet looked good.
  19. I hate seeing stories like this. This is so awful.
  20. I get where you are coming from, especially as I myself have dealt with addiction issues of my own, so I fully understand your concern. However, my own recovery has shown me that placing blame elsewhere for my own behaviors and choices is just another way to justify my choices and enable myself more. I would challenge that saying that OTF or other podcasts who are sponsored by a bookie business is no different than being sponsored by an alcohol company, car company, etc. Alcoholics could try and say that the podcasts or the sports they watch should not advertise alcohol even though millions of people enjoy alcohol responsibly. People that have been constantly in trouble with the law for speeding, reckless driving (hello UGA football players) could try and blame advertisements for sport cars. Again, I do feel where you are coming from. However, each person has to take and accept responsibility for their own choices and behaviors. No podcast pushed Sorsby to make 10,000 bets over the last couple years. If he wants to be healthy, he has to take his treatment seriously and put it above all else. I wish him luck and hope that he and everyone else can refrain from placing blame on anyone besides themselves for their own choices.
  21. This would be very interesting, but very predictable.
  22. Pretty interesting - the SEC had 19 more drafted players with 2 less schools to pull from compared to the B1G.
  23. It really has been surprising how many TE have been taken already. I know Endries wasn't mocked to go in the 3rd, but with this many taken, teams may take him earlier than anticipated. We will see. It seems odd that Manny hasn't gone yet with the number of DBs that have been taken, but the last 3 have all had high numbers of INTs in their careers. That was something Manny just couldn't do in game during his 3 years. We will see...
