Today’s under the radar player becomes tomorrow’s best ROI with good coaching and opportunities to develop on and off the court. Buy low and hold strategies for a NIL bull market will produce good yields. It will require quality talent evaluation, discipline, and patience.

    Richard Young and Daniel Hill are ready to run. Jam is expected to fully recover and may be available later in the season. Ty Simpson will be able to toss it, but like every SEC team, will need a solid run game to compete for the CFP. The departure of Justice Haynes now looms large for the Tide.

    This is why it’s important to search for the diamonds in the rough and never let them leave campus. We’ve seen Auburn and other teams do it. The player is recruited to campus, develops, and helps them win basketball games when they are ready for more minutes. Portal recruiting is different, you’re buying a Free Agent. That will never replace the success of player development even in the NIL era. You will need both player profiles to win.

    There will be nine (9) open roster spots. You’re left with a core of young talent, some who didn’t have ample on-floor opportunities to know. Nine (9) open roster spots is a luxury. Talented Texans who are already there always have to be included in the equation to build continuity and Longhorn pride. In this era, coaches who continue to develop players will have an advantage. There are also Texans playing well in other parts of the country who may want to come home and represent their state with pride. Nine (9) open roster spots…that’s a rotation.

    Kentucky guards Jaxson Robinson and Lamont Butler are out. This is an opportunity for Horns to capitalize on the backcourt play, control the pace of the game, and get the win.

    Vinson was exciting to watch go at players in the games and dunk it too! I tune in and show up more when local kids play. It gave me Brock hometown vibes again. Vinson reminded me of a more versatile Jarrett Allen with a perimeter shot. It sounds like the kid may need opportunity and benefactors to advocate for him. Like Allen, Vinson is a tall athletic shot blocker who looks like he’s got a chance.
