If Texas wins beats Aggy again in 2026 while knocking the Aggies out of college football playoffs. His seat will get warm in College station.
Start off 0 - 3 against Texas with 2 losses being in Kyle Field. He will start to lose the fan base.
Yep lotta pressure on him in that game. Sark is playing with house money in that series.

Much needed depth if he can get back even by conference play this season.

Small excerpt from a much longer post:Offensive Line
There is no avoiding this conversation. Sarkisian said it himself: “I think the offensive line is something that we’re going to address in the portal.” Everyone understood the offensive line was Texas’ weakest unit in 2025 and the position most in need of immediate upgrades.
Texas needed to attack this spot with the same urgency it previously showed when pursuing defensive linemen. Interior players who represented clear, instant upgrades were the goal.
So far, the inability to significantly upgrade the offensive line through the portal has been a major disappointment. Texas missed on every elite target it pursued. Bodies were added, but none who check the boxes the way Coleman, Brown, or Smoothers do.
The only remaining hope is a last-second Hail Mary involving an offensive lineman from Indiana or Miami. Out of respect for the players Texas did sign, an F feels harsh. That said, it is hard to argue with anyone who lands there.

- Top five in OL penalties in the country.
- One of the ten worst pass protection OL in the country.
- So bad at run blocking in Athens we just gave up.
- Flushed five interior OL misevaluations to the portaL
- And to fix the problem… we added Dylan Sikorski and are rolling the dice on a redshirt or true freshman to emerge as the answer.
That math don’t math.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions but @Gerry Hamilton is making the podcast nearly unwatchable. Chastising the fans for questioning and complaining about not shoring up the inside of our disastrous oline last year when it was priority number one is just too much. Especially when week one of the portal window was all about the “2-3 OL acquisitions” that we needed at guard. Not that we were good at OL and the redshirt freshman could be the answer. Could a redshirt freshman like one of the Coleman twins be the answer? Of course. Do we know they will be? Absolutely not. And if anything was learning last season it was that all benefit of the doubt needs to be removed from the offensive line roster this coming season. The freshmen on this roster were assembled by the same staff who thought Stroh, Neto and Brooks were the solve at LG last season. They are the same staff that just flushed Cruz, Kibble, Neto, Stroh and Brooks from the program. So forgive us if we don’t think the projects along the redshirt freshman OL are the answer to start against Ohio State in 7 months.

I’m sure they’ll cross train Baker since he’s the swing OT, but I’m sure they’ll get him tons of guard reps first and foremost. Start of Spring, I’d guess:
LT - Chatman / Turntine
LG - Baker / Christian
C - Robertson / Sikorski
RG - *Portal / Sikorski or Coleman
RT - Siani / NewmanUltimately, I believe Chatman is probably the backup LG, but for Spring he probably needs to take LT snaps so that Baker can get LG reps. Chatman has previously repped at both
Come fall:
LT - Goosby / Siani
LG - Baker / Chatman
C - Robertson / Sikorski
RG - *Portal / Sikorski or Coleman
RT - Siani / Baker🤘🏼
The tea leaves sure seem like the portal options have closed, so try it without the *Portal starter and that’s where I start to wonder how this interior OL holds up in the SEC trenches. We have sorely been needing angry people movers at guard.
-
So with Goosby out for spring with shoulder surgery let’s take a look at the starting line. This is just a guess:
LT - Baker
LG - Sikorski
C - Robertson
RG - I have no idea. Move Chatman inside?
RT - Siani
Any guesses other than starting three tackles?-

Ho-Lee-Crap. I just finally got a chance to watch the first 15 minutes of coffee and football and it sure sounds like Texas is waving the white flag on adding anyone else with experience to the guard spot.
What a freaking joke.
PRIORITY NUMBER ONE was fixing the OLINE this year. Sark himself lamented last spring that he couldn’t just “go down to the Co-Op and buy a few new linemen.” And now he can and he chose not to? What in the actual hell is going on.
We lost Neto, Brooks, Cruz, Kibble and Stroh to the portal from the offensive guard spot and we add one freaking guard who has six starts to his name and was displaced as a starter on the Oregon State line after the first five games and call it a day?
Absolute atrocity in a season that they claimed to to be going all in on. What in the actual hell. I would have sworn the silence and lack of action was all part of waiting out this final puzzle piece from the westlake kid or someone else.
Hope is not a strategy. We found that out the hard way in 2025. And apparently learned nothing from it. Unreal.

If someone told me this a month ago I’d probably laugh and say there’s no way Texas doesn’t sign any starting caliber guards from the portal.
We gave Quinn a very good O Line in 2023 and 2024 and nothing for the most hyped QB to ever play at Texas. Coaching malpractice if the OL doesn’t greatly improve in 2026
That's what I just can’t come to grips with either. The mods must be being silent on this so as not to jinx the last minute fireworks. That’s all I can imagine is going on.-

Good lord we’re a mess if putting five starters on the field is considered a success.

Next up according to who?
The people who recruited them?Cruz, Kibble, Stroh, Brooks, Neto all were recruited to help take over when the 2024 starting line needed reloading. They’ve all been flushed from the program. That’s an issue worth questioning regardless of who we might pull in here at the final hour.

My read: Sark and the roster construction team are committed to "big game hunting"... but big game hunting only has a chance of working if there's big game out there.
Translation: no elite Guards have entered the portal, and Texas has not been willing to settle for what has actually hit the portal like other programs have. We have had no interest/involvement in the top of the market that has actually hit the portal (the guys from Maryland, West Virginia, Louisville).
To combat the problem that no elite Guards were willingly entering the portal, we tried to "create some big game" by recruiting elite guys into the portal. They gave Guarnera a home run swing, but came up empty. Then they were reportedly trying to recruit another guy, the "mystery Guard", all the way up to the entry request deadline last night... but as of 11:15 this morning, Bobby didn't know whether that guy decided to enter or not.
There is still line to play out here. But my answer to your question, is that it's possible Sark and staff kept holding out for an "elite Guard" market that never actually materialized.
Agree to the Big Game hunting theory, but in regards to a “lack of candidates” to target this isn’t a game of who enters the portal it’s about negotiating with agents behind the scenes and recruiting players TO the portal. We did this with the Michigan guys and we didn’t close. We moved on to some other targets who went elsewhere as well. We prioritized Cam Coleman and we won. We’ll see how things sit when the dust settles but as of now I haven’t seen the same conviction to signing the best of the best along the offensive line.

The shift in livestream conversation from two weeks ago to tonight is frightening. Talking up the Coleman twins as a possible answer on this years line lol. We sorely need the elite starting left guard we all talked about needing. And don’t tell me they’re not in the portal they would be if we prioritized one hard enough.

As it stands? Not dramatic at all. But we will obviously be adding more than one dude in the portal.
