  1. Jeff's knowledge and writing is second to none. Phenomenal 🤘 Had a feeling PK would answer the bell after last weeks aberration.
  2. For Jalen Lotts recruitment I'm hoping Oregon losing and Texas big win helps
  3. My current mood
  4. Glad Pat gave this kid an opportunity to redeem himself for 1 million dollars
  5. I won't beat a dead horse but most QBs would have hit this for a td. He steps up in the pocket then steps out of the pocket for no reason. Step up in the pocket and deliver the ball or take off then float it. Mosley was open by 20 yards. Regardless, it's on to Oklahoma but hopefully we can connect on these plays.
  6. He may have been limited I can't recall. But he did have 7 carries for 18 yards vs them. I was at a wedding that day unfortunately so didn't get to watch as closely as I'd liked to and when they lost I never replayed it.
  7. Offensive line looks tremendous. Great communication and due to elite wide receivers a lot of teams don't blitz and when they do they pay a price. Sayin has been very impressive all season. Great poise and accuracy.
  8. Egregious pass interference call missed in the OSU game. Illinois receiver basically tackled down the left sideline before the ball arrived. That was the kid CJ had identified as a penalty liability before the season.
  9. Hoping Illinois can pull off a miracle
  10. I hope he gets well soon 🙏
  11. Heart goes out to CJ for having to miss this game for the second year in a row. 🙏
  12. He is a smaller Mike Alstott. Love the way he plays..his block last week on the saints edge was elite. He Bobby bouchered the guy about 10 yards backwards with a Goldberg spear.
  13. Technically, yes but if a team is egregiously lying or falsifying information on the report, they can face fine or suspension.
  14. That's literally how they taught football when the game was established before modern day technology . Read the original book of scouting by Bill Belichicks father. You don't think Arch misses open receivers? The still frames when pictured from real time don't tell a story? Did you see the Ohio State first play or the UTEP game?
  15. Where'd you play? Murray was a good QB had a brutal knee injury in college and still went pro. If it's the coaching staff and the entire teams fault, should they replace everyone except Manning? This is a hell of a team without a p4 win heading to Red River. The passing game and running game have both taken a huge step back yet those who hated Quinn and were first to blame the QB won't critique the QB at all now.
  16. So who are you? You've referenced being above many with your ability to kick, pass etc. You must be a hall of famer as you critiqued Aaron Murray, an NFL QB for only throwing 62%. What did you throw? I didn't respond to your response to me because you seem to think 11-25 vs UTEP is acceptable from Arch Manning and I don't. It must be all the coaches fault right? If you can't agree that simple functions are very complex in this offense it's very difficult to have an honest conversation. 11-25 is horrific for any starting QB. Manning is going to be great but he's been asleep at the wheel. We need it now? Is he ready, it's year 3!
  17. For me it's less about Quinn, this is about Arch and more or less seeing the same struggles and troubles that weren't just against Florida but showed up for an 11-25 passing performance vs UTEP. I've voiced my concerns and what I think is necessary to improve moving forward which is mistaken for QB bashing. I'll keep my mouth shut moving forward for the echo chamber but all criticisms I've pointed to can be fixed and will be but they aren't hateful, trolling or in bad faith. Arch will get it and the upside is tremendous as I love the kid but he has missed gimme throws and has struggled to read the field undoubtedly.
  18. Bad for sports. Will open more cans of worms.
  19. Correct. If the defense is running a zero blitz probably shouldn't wait on a long concept to develop etc. Get the ball out quickly even if it is a go route one on one for a playmaker with no safety help. The quarterback has to survey and constantly evaluate what the defense is giving him and adjust accordingly based on pressure and coverage. Generally pass play concepts have a designed first read and progressions are established but obviously must be adjusted to on the fly based on disguise and defensive scheme. Processing speed is the most underrated attribute of a QB. Ray Lewis once said the most impressive thing by Tom Brady on a 3rd and 8 was looking off the deep routes and dumping it to Kevin Faulk underneath who made a man miss and got 9 to ice a game. Take what's there, sometimes keeping it simple is best.
  20. Gerry talked about it before the season but this article coming off of that gritty performance may just be what it takes to galvanize this team and have them pissed off to support their QB the rest of the way!
  21. I linked a video with Aaron Murray discussing Archs eyes and reads.
  22. I have full confidence that he will eventually get there with his reads and check downs but it has certainly been difficult to watch. The short and intermediate doesn't come naturally for his eyes or touch right now. Caldwell knew what the defense was throwing at him, where the pressure was coming from and to get it out quickly in space where only his guy has a chance to make a play or nobody does. Wingo converted the 2nd and 22 a crucial clutch play in the game. Aaron Murray did a good job breaking down some of the concerns with Archs eyes and decision making in this breakdown of the Florida game. All of the tools are there, hoping the mental speeds up for him sooner rather than later but I do believe it's coming. Quinn's pre snap check vs AZ St, even when the OL had a penalty to make it 4th and 13 -- was crucial to winning a playoff game. The little things and subtleties a great QB does need to be developed and improved but should come with experience. I thought he'd be much further along mentally as far as clock management, coverages, protections etc but still believe he can take us to the promise land eventually. https://youtu.be/2hMMqc6Soes?si=jKdG0rUPZ5UbDTZT
  23. Goosby is in his third year in the program.
