  1. Traore suffered a season-ending knee injury in an October practice and had successful surgery on October 21...... Sean Miller stated: “Lassina was a starter on this year’s team. He had a great summer and preseason, where he improved his game as much as any player in our program. He emerged to be our team’s best rebounder, low post defender and shot blocker. He was in superior condition and became a tone setter for everything that impacts winning. We will miss Lassina’s ability and presence. No one player can replace him. All of us will have to do more, be better and step up in our respective roles. And, we will eagerly await his return to the basketball court in the 2025-26 season.” He averaged 11.9 ppg and a Big West leading 10.3 rpg at Long Beach St in 2023-2024. Would be a big body low post presence that will be a significant addition on the boards.
  2. 2 of the names I mentioned on here the other day.
  3. Chris Beard, Chris Jans, Steve Forbes, & Steve Lutz are all names I've heard. Do the aggies care enough about basketball for Beard to leave? He fit Ole Miss so well. Sounds like Buzz' decision to leave was mutual. He goes somewhere, wins/improves program, and then gets out before it goes south. He can coach no doubt, but he's not for everyone. Doesn't seem like a great fit in the Northeast though.
  4. Was reported that Haith & Chappelle were also in attendance.
  5. I'd expect him to join Sean along with Ryan Reynolds, & Ryan Anderson. They're all his guys who were with him at UA. Will be interested to see if S&C Coach Andy Kettler comes too. Kettler was a longtime coach strength coach for Bob Huggins at WVU. Very well respected.
  6. He's a heck of a recruiter. At Stanford he signed multiple top 20 classes, back to back McDonald's All Americans, & got 3 of them drafted. Not always easy to do in Palo Alto.
  7. Langston Love (Baylor) in the portal now too. Nearly signed with Stanford when Xavier Associate Head Coach Adam Cohen was there and recruited him. Would be shocked if Cohen wasn't on Miller's staff in Austin.
  8. Bay Area. 10 min from Stanford campus.
  9. People can role their eyes at California private school football all they want. But I live out here and can tell you that the WCAL (Western Catholic Athletic League) is the best league in ALL of Northern California. Schools like Serra, Saint Francis, Archbishop Riordan each put out multiple D1 players every year. With their league schedule and preseason opponents like Folsom, De La Salle, Cathedral Catholic (San Diego), & Mater Dei these teams play the best around the state. Fun fact, Coach Flood also offered 2 other OL in his league with Peter Langi & Champ Taulealea. Long story short, I really believe John Mills will be a great recruit who will flourish in the program for years to come. I hope to make 2-3 games of his this year since it's just up the road and report back. ***St. Ignatius' first game of the season is versus Marco Jones (San Ramon Valley).
  10. @Gerry Hamilton I'll be at some of the Folsom games this season for sure. St. Ignatius for Joh Mills as well.
  11. 6 guys from California would be crazy! Really making their presence felt out here. I will definitely be catching a few of John MIlls' games & then try and see Josiah Sharma as well.
