Preaching to the choir man. I was pumped for drafting golden (packer/longhorn fan up here 20 min from Lambeau) all I heard about was how he was torching DBs in practice. He was the go to guy in preseason. Then come the regular season his snap count just continued to drop. We have a 2024 7th round WR turned CB turned back to WR turned back to Cb turned back to Wr getting more snaps than him. It truly makes no sense. Then the OC says “we have a lot of guys than have been here for a few years and put in the work and we just have a lot of mouths to feed” you don’t treat a first round nfl pick like an apprentice. There isn’t an initiation timeframe you need to give to an organization. GB is the only team who refuses to play rookies. So mind boggling

Wisconsin has always had an impressive level of talent at the LB position even before fickell to be fair. Numerous NFL guys and a number of them were actually high school qbs.

@CJ Vogel am I that crazy to say the Michigan OL are the two most important guys to get on the dotted line? I can get over missing out on woods (as great as he is - I can sell myself on the excitement of Jackson and Wesley coming along) I can justify not spending the high dollar amount on Coleman and convince myself that money can bring in higher level players at other positions. I just don’t know what to think if we miss out on two all big 10 level lineman. Guys like that don’t always enter the portal.

I keep seeing you say “natty level” what does that possibly mean? OSU’s room? Looked real good last night when the O line couldn’t keep their QB clean and he was running for his life. Looked real good on the sidelines when their run defense couldn’t get off the field on that final drive and they got ran over. ATM’s room? Yeah craver and Concepcion looked incredible scoring 3 points at home. WR is a luxury, not a need. Georgia and Michigan proved you can win it all with dominant defensive play and controlling the game with the run game. arch has proved he has heisman caliber talent the back half of the season with the receivers we have. He literally just put up 41 against a good Michigan defense with what you say are “not good enough”. Hell 24 of those were second half points with their backups.

I am indifferent on getting a big name receiver in the portal, as long as we get 3 elite big uglies in the portal the rest is gravy for me. I will argue that it isn’t just this one half. We have had issues with drops all year.

Aaron Rodgers was never given a first round receiver in green bay.

2021 Georgia went 14-1 with their leading wide receiver catching 31 passes 2022 Georgia went 15-0 with their leading WR catching 50 passes 2023 Michigan went 15-0 with their leading War catching 48 passes tell me again how you need elite receivers to win games? Allocate to the trenches and defensive depth. You absolutely can win it all next season with the receivers we have on this roster.
