  7. Barring the unforeseen ... this is where the decision will come from.
  8. The 7v7 tournament is in Houston. The California Power organization is flying their team into Houston , and then taking them by bus to Austin for the visit.
  9. KenPom teams that are top 25 in both adjusted offense and defense are the safest bets to go deep and eventually win the NC ... UConn is my favorite. Texas is No. 19 in college basketball in adjusted O, but 61st in adjusted D https://kenpom.com/
  10. Phone conversations and January in-school meetings have been positive from kids. IMO, these spring and summer visits will be the key in that regard though for a full picture. To be clear on recruiting the position ... NIL has to be powerfully placed in DL recruiting to win the battles in SE Region.
  11. I can definitely see the line of thinking ... think he had to go when he did to have two full years starting for a school.
  12. For sure. The key is which teams can push Abmas out to 28-30 feet in the ball screen game. If a team does that, Hunter has to come through. If opponents can keep Abmas' looks at 24-25 foot average, he won't go crazy and have a knock you out type game IMO.
  13. I don't know if Texas is going to win Thursday or not. I can't predict how Tyrese Hunter is going to play a basketball game. If Hunter plays like he did against Iowa State, Marquette and Kansas State, which was 0-21 combined from the field, Texas won't beat anyone. Texas has to have Hunter play well in the tournament IMO. Disu and Abmas will give Texas a chance, but Hunter has to show up.
  14. Your flat out wrong on Texas not running offense. The reality is Texas doesn't run offense you like! You don't like it, and that's fine. Just call the spade a spade. Texas attacks the ball screen game exactly how they should with Abmas and Disu. They run everything off the elbows - literally 90-95% of the same action as last season! I literally posted game from youtube to watch and see. And by the way, that has nothing to do with liking RT or not. RT's second season will tell the story of his future in Austin.
  15. Clip it, keep it. Do what you want. You keep hammering what your expectation is, what you want this Texas team to be. The reality, which seems to be your struggle on this topic, is that is not what this team will be. You have sat here and said Texas runs no offense, you don't know what Texas is on offense, they aren't good on offense ... even after someone gives your illustration on what hey do offensively, shows you it's not correct... you keep banging that head against a brick wall. I guess it's admirable in a weird way lol
  16. The 2023 Elite 8 ... Miami (Fla) - not in NCAA tournament UConn - favorite to repeat, No. 1 seed in East Region Gonzaga - No. 5 seed in Midwest Region Kansas State - not in the NCAA Tournament Texas - No. 7 seed in Midwest Region San Diego State - No. 5 seed in the East Region FAU - No. 8 seed in the East Region Creighton - No. 3 seed in Midwest Region
  17. lol. Man you are a beating. Texas is a very good offensive team. Every metric is telling you that, but you are a complete brick head. If Texas is going to maximize the season, that's the only way it will happen. Texas has one shot to be a quality team, and win a game in the NCAA Tournament - its offense. It will not be on defense, it will not be playing complimentary basketball. That is not what the strength of this team is. You keep chirping about what you want to this Texas to be, or wish they would be. I'm simply stating what they are, and what this team will have to do to maximize. I sincerely hopes that helps your continued takes!

  19. Brandon Brown visit update One of the key visitors Friday for the Texas Longhorns is OnTexasFootball 4-star defensive lineman Brandon Brown (Melbourne, Fla./Eau Gallie). Brown, 6-1.5 and 290 pounds, will fly from Melbourne to Houston Friday morning. He will then make a visit to Texas with members of the California Power 7v7 program before a 7v7 tournament in Houston Saturday afternoon and Sunday. The visit news with Brown is not new, but there are key parts of the visit that is news. Brown will be accompanied on the trip by his mother, older sister (senior) and best friend. They will also fly into Houston Friday morning, and drive to Austin with Brandon. It will be the first meeting with the staff and visit to Texas for everyone. Brown is building a relationship with defensive line coach Kenny Baker. They have spoken multiple times in the last 2-3 weeks. Steve Sarkisian, Jeff Banks and Tashard Choice stopped by Eau Gallie High in January prior to Baker being cleared to hit the.road and recruit. The visit is key, obviously, with USC breathing down the neck of Texas. Along with Tennessee, Florida, Miami and a couple of others. He will visit the top schools on his list in March and April ahead of official visits. Brown has three June official visits scheduled. He will visit Tennessee June 7-9, Texas June 14-16 and USC June 21-23.

  21. That has to play out. But colleges, Texas included, really like him at 5 tech with frame growth
  22. In the process for sure! I’ve started giving guys grades as we go … but it will be built out
  23. For sure. They literally lost their TJ Ford at PG ... and still are a No. 1. Vic also has freaky freshman in Booker, but just does matter because of how much changed in an instant at 12-0 ... and what they did to adapt and overcome.
