  1. Not arm or shoulder related. Not knee or last years injury related from what I was told. Some chatter about sports hernia ... but please don't go around saying OTF reported hernia.
  2. 100% mental He's just not close to what he was last year when in games for extended period of time, or what anyone has seen in practice in spring or fall camp.
  3. Introducing Vanderbilt freshman guard Chandler Bing Read the bio ... lol https://vucommodores.com/roster/chandler-bing/
  4. And there is this with the original story ... https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/46215924/ncaa-fresno-state-san-jose-state-players-gambling
  5. Texas and Guervil are talking a lot. There is a chance he makes a visit this season. If that happens, it gets real.
  6. Only thing I will say is this ... what I saw Saturday was just way worse than anything I've seen from a Texas QB. And it sucks to say it. Saturday was a total collapse/breakdown of confidence. The types of misses on throws (especially the last one in the flat to C. Clark) were very concerning for me. That is just so far off from quality QB play, let alone confident QB play. Rough to watch. I hope Arch comes back and has a terrific game against SHSU ... but man it's going to be a true internal battle won to get it back quickly at this point IMO. Hope he proves me wrong.
  7. Can't say I disagree, at this point.
  8. It's pretty shocking to see him lose all confidence/belief so quickly It's a dramatic swag/confidence change from when he had extended action in 2024. He's got the most pressure on him of any college athlete I have seen, but still shocking to see what we all witnessed vs. UTEP.
  9. it's definitely a 5-7 offense if what we all watched today doesn't drastically improve.
  10. What's funny to me is that when a team doesn't perform well, or up to their talent level, it's always the people that cover a team that are "you guys told us how good team X would be/could be" or "Pumping sunshine" How about some other options too... 1. An entire program (meaning coaches and support staff) are taken aback by the performance. 2. Maybe a coaching staff is not doing their job of maximizing a team. 3. Maybe some players just aren't playing at the level expected, even by a coaching staff. On the topic of Arch specifically ... does anyone think he looks remotely like the QB that played last year in his extended action? Does anyone believe that the Texas staff would be starting him if he looked like he did vs. UTEP on a daily basis in the spring and fall camp? The answers are obviously no. On some level, it's as simple as players and coaches just are under performing to their talent level. Confidence is so key in the equation too. I see an offense that lacks more and more confidence, the more they play right now. Arch has completely lost the swag/confidence that the fan base watched last year.
  11. This is 100% accurate
  12. Well played!
  13. Dia Bell Update I can now talk about this a little more. When I stopped by American Heritage Wednesday, Dia Bell was not at school. He was at doctor getting an undisclosed injury taken a look at. At the time, the American Heritage staff didn’t know the extent of the injury. Per multiple reports, the 5-star QB is in street clothes tonight. There is chatter in the South Florida coaching community that Bell could be out for the remainder of the season. That is not OTF reporting that. We do not have confirmation of the severity of the injury, or even what the injury actually is.
  14. Probably going 48-13
  15. Just had a quick dinner at little taco place by beach. Very good
  16. Brutal all week! Pouring rain every day in South Florida Cleared up for practice at Vero Beach High
  17. Monds freshman video ... 10.5 inch hands @HenryJames https://access.qwikcut.com/hub/detail/663134b0e505571a16a28213/Champ-Monds
  18. Wonderful "Champ" Monds update Vero Beach, Fla. - At least two Power 4 head coaches believe top 2028 quarterback prospect in the country is Wonderful "Champ" Monds IV. And that opinion covers any class from 2026 to 2028. That type of feedback from college coaches means OnTexasFootball needed to make some time to stop by the High School in old "Dodger Town" to see the 6-foot-2, 219-pounder. Monds is currently out with an ankle injury, but is expected back late in the regular season. He was injured in the season-opening win over Melbourne (Fla.) Eau Gallie High. He was 11 of 15 for 127 yards and TD when he went down around halftime. While Texas hasn't offered Monds yet, quarterbacks coach A.J. Milwee has been in contact with Vero Beach High head coach Lenny Jankowski. In talking to Monds and his father today at practice, there is a definite interest in the Longhorns if an offer is extended. Monds was offered by UCF (first), Florida State, Florida and Miami in June of 2024, prior to playing a high school game. Michigan is the most recent offer, the first week of September. Notes on Monds ... 1. Started all season for Vero Beach in 2024 as a 14 year old freshman. Completed 181 of 268 passes for 2,234 yards and 23 TD's (5 INT's), along with 501 yards rushing and 9 scores. 2. Won't turn 16 until January of 2026. 3. Was an unofficial visitor at the Texas at Ohio State game August 30. 4. SEC offers: Florida, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Arkansas, Auburn, Ole Miss and South Carolina. 5. Other offers: Ohio State, FSU, Miami, UCF, Baylor, Illinois, SMU, USF, West Virginia, North Carolina and Wake Forest. 6. Having known Vero Beach head coach Lenny Jankowski for over a decade, I take him at his word on his players and players he has gone against. Jankowski says Monds is easily the most talented player he has coached or see at 14 years old, and now 15.
  19. I’ve commented on this before, but I truly believe point shaving in college hoops is likely bigger than we will ever know https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/46225197/ncaa-13-players-6-schools-involved-gambling-schemes
  20. Some similarities to Kellen Wiley in the 2025 class that Texas went after, but signed with Miami. BTW, Wiley is playing a decent amount
  21. New 2026 LB offer update Texas linebackers coach Johnny Nansen extended an offer to Michigan State verbal Braylon Hodge (Denver/Cherry Creek). OnTexasFootball exchanged messages with the 6-3, 215-pounder since the offer was made. Hodge tells OTF that he is working out visit details with Nansen and the staff right now. It’s likely that Hodge will visit Texas September 20 for the Sam Houston State game.
