  1. From Josh Pate: “Let me just give you an idea of what’s happening on the college football streets right now. Everybody behind the scenes knows it’s gonna get really crazy in April. So, what’s happening right now—I kid you not—I had someone walk me through the other day a specific position group at a major university out there. Not only were there kids on that team, in that position group that their coach knew, ‘he’s not going to be on my team after April 20th or 25th,’ but this group of coaches knew who they were going to backfill with. And the names that they’re going to backfill with are on other rosters, currently. That’s not an isolated example.” -Josh Pate
  2. 48 teams, not 64. I don't understand why the B1G & SEC would want to split the TV/Bowl/Championship with an additional 16 teams. Chances of a true contender coming out of the additional 16 teams is small. The other "Power 5" teams not in Tier One can create their own championship and have a chance to compete. I think money is the determining factor. Less teams = more per team. The NCAA owns the basketball championship and receives all the money to be doled out to the schools.
  3. Here's my first draft. SEC keeps to the south and east with neighbor states. B1G mainly populates the west to help out in travel scheduling.
  4. Assuming that the SEC and B1G are going to decide to carve out 48 teams for a non-NCAA football conference, who are the 48? For this exercise, we assume that all the current members are going to be grandfathered in. Assume that leadership is not going to kick anyone out. Assume that no school opts out because of additional financial requirements. SEC needs 8 teams. B1G needs 6 teams. Here are the available teams from next year's Big XII and ACC + Notre Dame. Who is added and where?
  5. One obvious way to stop our rotating DL & DB is the hurry-up offense. I haven't really watched a lot of SEC football. How does the SEC compare to the Big XII in number of teams that use the hurry-up and whether it is used all game or just on certain occassions?
  6. Do you think Harbaugh is dragging his feet to stay past the final 2024 signing day? Or, would he need to take the NFL job ASAP to prepare for the draft? Or, maybe his "dream" NFL job isn't open..............yet.
  7. What is the limit on off-field analysts? And, coaches?
  8. My work is suffering, but I know more about the UT Longhorns than I have in a long time.
