None of the guys on the roster have a chance to step up and play well. Not sure what they are even doing on the roster tbh. Just have everyone redshirt this year so we can wait for a shot next portal season. It’s all Flood’s fault that the good guards decided to stay at their current schools instead of coming to Texas. It’s due to their schedule. They are going to have a cake walk to another undefeated season. I’m sure that has to play into his thought process.

I think it’s because we made the move 2 seasons early and they agreed to forfeit their portion of the TV rights those first two years to facilitate the move. Could be way off base but I thought I read that somewhere.

You must have a tough life without joy man. Everything you post is negative. Can’t even give people props that deserve it and instead cut down the people that show respect. Life is infinitely better without the negativity, trust me. I used to be as miserable as you seem to be and life is so much better when you don’t live in a sea of darkness. Guess you forgot last season was his first and they made playoffs losing 1 regular season game before losing in the playoffs. Find me another coach that has done anything comparable in their first 2 years at a new school, especially one that is historically terrible at football. I won’t hold my breath waiting…

Are we witnessing the best coaching job in their first 2 years at a school of all time? Especially a school that isn’t known for football…like, at all. I know some people want to say it’s the assistants, but guess what, The Cig hired those guys. He had the wherewithal to know who he needed for the X’s and O’s departments as well as the scouting departments. This dude is a LEGEND!! Side note: With Coogan playing in the last 2 national championships with different teams, does that mean the Center is the actual X-factor that everyone overlooks? Stidham has started more games than Sam. I think if this was regular season, those roles would be reversed but in an AFC championship game; I get it, but as you say, Sam will probably still get in.

That’s the risk you take with high school kids, some pan out, some don’t. Doesn’t mean you want to backfill with guys who have proven they aren’t necessarily an upgrade just bc they took 1000 snaps against lower level competition.

These people want to fill it with jags just bc they played it previously, albeit in a lower level league against lesser competition. Just fill it. They would be praising it now and then b*tching in season when they proved out to be turnstiles and then complain that we signed jags. No winning with whiners.

You ever think that maybe they evaluated these guys and didn’t think they were worth a hit pursuit? Maybe they have other options that are better or maybe some guys already on campus might be better? This staff clearly hasn’t sat on their laurels this year so it’s telling that they didn’t push for these guys. They played a lower level of competition and maybe from the tape the staff thought they wouldn’t hold up in SEC play. Stop your damn hand wringing. It’s getting old.

Man, that is so hard to read haha. You have a couple of guys that make sense and then the cult members come in and blast them. Can’t even admit that maybe they have a point! Pretty sure our 2 deep is great in most spots, it’s the 3 deep that no one even worries about haha
