    Stidham has started more games than Sam. I think if this was regular season, those roles would be reversed but in an AFC championship game; I get it, but as you say, Sam will probably still get in.

    That’s the risk you take with high school kids, some pan out, some don’t. Doesn’t mean you want to backfill with guys who have proven they aren’t necessarily an upgrade just bc they took 1000 snaps against lower level competition.

    These people want to fill it with jags just bc they played it previously, albeit in a lower level league against lesser competition. Just fill it. They would be praising it now and then b*tching in season when they proved out to be turnstiles and then complain that we signed jags. No winning with whiners.

    You ever think that maybe they evaluated these guys and didn’t think they were worth a hit pursuit? Maybe they have other options that are better or maybe some guys already on campus might be better? This staff clearly hasn’t sat on their laurels this year so it’s telling that they didn’t push for these guys. They played a lower level of competition and maybe from the tape the staff thought they wouldn’t hold up in SEC play. Stop your damn hand wringing. It’s getting old.

    Man, that is so hard to read haha. You have a couple of guys that make sense and then the cult members come in and blast them. Can’t even admit that maybe they have a point! Pretty sure our 2 deep is great in most spots, it’s the 3 deep that no one even worries about haha

    Think of this as a “spare no expense” season. The exposure that would give the University with a title attached to the Manning name would make that money back in 1000 fold. Texas is going John Hammond on this b*tch.

    I think it’s more prudent to go for broke this year and raise more funds later. We STILL talk about how great the ‘05 team and VY were. Imagine if Arch wins one. Not only the first Manning to do so, but a guy who wanted to come here since he was young! Sign me up for anything and everything they want. I’m sure my NIL contributions have already been blown through though so…
