    It’s both. These are not good play calls. Most of Sarks routes are taking too long to develop too far downfield. There is no quick hitting slants are even a crossing route to get the safeties having to come downhill. The inside run game has been our most consistent play. Sark gets too cute sometimes. He can’t stand it if his plays don’t look genius on paper.

    You have been trying to beat this drum over and over. Anywhere you can. It is flat. Quinn needs the crosshairs. The things that need to be fixed are on Quinn, first and foremost. Banks rated out at 83.4 PFF against NFL caliber players. Quinn’s PFF 40.3. You can keep arguing, but it’s not facts. It’s feelings. The facts are Quinn has issues that have regressed since Michigan.

    Word. Keep perspective. These kids aren’t malicious. And from the intel we have been given all along Brandon was having a lot of family pressure to follow Bo. Good luck to him. Wish him the best. We will be ok.

    If we are trusting the guys to bring us information and their information has historically been accurate then it is relevant that last year the information they gave us in spring played out as the season progressed. So the question of has defense regressed is a fair question. The fact that the offense is "very, very good" does not take away form the fact that we will face "very very good offenses" next season and we want the defense to be able to keep up. Asking questions is how you answer them. Why would you be afraid of people asking questions?

    Read that offense was using in helmet comms but the defense was not. This may have been part of the offensive edge but “run fits” are still a major issue.

    No. The reports last year were consistent that the D line couldn’t be run against and that the defense looked good coming out of spring. Now they had Malik not Arch with the 2s so we see the difference. But the reports coming out were consistent and accurate from what we saw in the season.

    Yes, that’s what I hope. But if we are going to compete in the expanded playoffs we need a defense that can compete, regardless of Quinn’s ability.

    I am interested in that as well. No one on the inside has said the defense is bad but everyone reiterates the need for a DT. It is hard to tell right now but I worry we will have some shoot outs next year. Hoping some of it is simply the defense not being able to touch the QBs etc.

    I think that will be a major advantage for Sark. He also is very aware that too much communication is detrimental. Sark has gotten a lot of praise from opposing coaches for the difficulty in coaching against him. This gives him a lot more input helping his signal callers see the game in real time.
