  1. Past hour
  2. Tommy Brockermeyer injury happened in high school
  3. 24 neuters regular season. Only 16 teams tourney at the most yo
  4. I admit it. Just an irrational, emotional thing with me!
  5. I'm hoping Aggy will want it SO BADLY that they lock up and play poorly. When I was a UT freshman I had an old Maroon Buick that my Grandmother gave me when she got her last new car. A buddy of mine and I went to the game in Collie Station in my Maroon Buick... with the Texas Longhorns stickers on the back window and bumper. When we walked back to the car, the front and back driver's side tires were slashed. Nice. Aggy love those Maroon cars, but not with Longhorns stickers on them! I swore I would never go back to a game there... and I have not returned. That was 1973. Hook 'Em!
  6. CPF is a very long shot. Here's how it breaks down - I agree Texas will be 15. Even though the CFP has 12 teams, Texas needs to be in the top 10 because two lower ranked conference champs will take up two spots. For that to happen, next week 5 of these 7 teams need to lose - OU Notre Dame Alabama BYU Utah Miami Vanderbilt Then Texas Tech needs to win the Big 12 so that conference only takes one spot. There are some other weird long shot scenarios that could open up a spot - Texas Tech losing next week and in the CC to BYU Miami beating Pitt then winning the ACC championship (both Virginia and SMU have to lose for Miami to make it). Texas jumps one of the seven higher ranked teams above even if they win If Oregon or Ole Miss gets blown out, maybe Texas jumps them, but I doubt it. So basically root against all seven of the teams above. But really just beat aggie.
  7. News flash: we don’t get everyone we want. Never have, never will.
  8. 6’ 212 lbs he is second biggest back behind Baxter
  9. You are correct. Not like their Father on the field. I know A'shawn Robinson wasn't a legacy, but I remember his Mother really wanting him to play for Texas. He's another recruit I hated to lose and if I'm not mistaken, he's still earning game checks in the NFL. Fingers crossed for Lott.
  10. The ultimate irony was those Brock brothers never did much. The 5 star never started a game at two schools. And the 3 star is finally a contributor in his 5th year at his 3rd school.
  11. Shows OTF evaluation skills again!
  12. Well, you have a point. I was not a Herman fan after he divided the squad and ordered burnt toast and running eggs for the "losers."
  13. any updates on the croots in town yesterday in the works? Thanks GH!
  14. OU vs. Nebraska For diehards, here's a nice article that tells the story of OU and Nebraska. As a kid, this was the one I always wanted to watch that didn't involve Texas. College football was better when these two played. There's also an excellent youtube video (that I can't link) by Hardcore College Football History. Enjoy. https://mikefarrellsports.com/college/nebraska-vs-oklahoma-a-classic-rivalry/
  15. I thought the young Longhorns DBs were an obvious improvement due to their length and athletic abilities. If they develop a bit, the Defensive Backfield will be better next season. Texas may wish they had played the young guys earlier in this '25 season. Regarding Jaylen Green... don't know what he thought he saw on the INT he shot-putted to the Horns, but Petrino seemed seriously irritated with him on the sideline. Green started stretching his hammies after Petrino left the bench area... looked kinda suspicious to me. Once again, Texas made a backup QB look good. Something we've done for years.... like knocking Carson Beck out last season. Once the Arky QB2 from Montgomery AL got going, he played pretty well. Hook 'Em!
  16. Mills was the worst loss of the last class, especially given we were desperate during the season to find a LG.. he would have had a legit chance. The other odd "loss" (I know we didn't push, and probably why we didn't push) was Andrew Marsh.. kids's got 641 yards and 3 TDs in a michigan offense that isn't exactly lighting it up from a passing standpoint. Probably good for him to go away from home, but still..
  17. I saw that as a Herman problem, not a Texas problem.
  18. I know it's a sore spot with me, but Texas seems to have more problems with Legacy recruits than one would expect. I haven't done the research, so I really don't know. But it's an impression I have developed over the years. The failure to secure Brockermeyer (not the one of the brothers we DID get...at Miami now?) still bugs me and I always have the irrational thought that he wouldn't have gotten injured at Texas and would have had a career like Banks had recently. Fingers crossed for young Mr Lott, but he's the kind of kid I would think should be a slam dunk for the Longhorns. I understand from Gerry that the times have changed. Hook 'Em!
  19. Doesn't change the fact our pass defense is dog hit 😂. Yeah left out the S. Akina will be gone and other changes too after the season. Is what it is now just gotta ride 2 more games .
  20. Not happening just try and ruin Aggie and play a meaningless bowl game. Time needs to be spent on coaching changes, recruiting , portal retention and additions and get younger guys playing time for said bowl game. Didn't get enough help yesterday. And LSU will mail it in to OU no doubt after watching them last night. Just shows you don't schedule OSU but another cupcake and how things change .Oh well is what it is.
  21. Screw #3. ND must join a Power 4 conference. Stop the special rules crap for ND.
  22. Maybe it's just me, but Christian Clark looks too small for what Sark's offense needs at RB. He appears to be quick with good feet. Perhaps the slot receiver position? Hook 'Em!
  23. Some kids make the best choice for their family and their own interest. That doesn’t always include Texas. Evidently our offensive line coach can identify talent….
